JBL MS-A5001 500W 1-Channel Monoblock Class D Digital Input Mixer, Graphical Status Display, DSP Technology Digital Signal Processing Car Amplifier

My whole audio system is done in JBL MS series amps. 2 Four channel for the mids, and two MS 500 watt amps, one for each sub. I was brought up that you usually pay about a dollar a watt for a true quality amp. These are priced great! Everywhere else your gonna pay double. Shop it I dare ya! It's not complicated to set up. Clean clear signal that will redefine your current subs.My application is a 2006 Peterbilt 379. It has a 550 Cat motor, which you can't even hear a the volume cranked! All mids are done up by Infinity. Component set, 6x9's, and 6 1/2 inch. And 4x6's above each door. I highly recommend JBL MS series amps to those looking for true quality! It's clean, pure undistorted sound. I was the first one in St. Louis to aquire a MS series amp, and am pretty sure IM the only one running a whole system of JBL MS amps. You just can't go wrong! There sleek and sexy looking with the digital read out, small in design. I have all them mounted on dimond plate panel tucked away in a closet in the sleeper. There to unique to hide under the bunk! tried to set it up the way the instruction say and it did not work according to the instruction there is no way to set this to factory reset even if you take out the fuses for a while to see if it resets itself nothing called jbl tech support and they can't tell me how to reset to factory default setting, so if you decide to buy one of these amp beware for it stays with the setting you set it at it stay in its memory and there is no way to clear the settings,for what its worth do not make a mistake during setup.

I had a strange issue with this amp. Short story, I mounted the amp to the back of the rear seat of my car. This caused the rca inputs to short out randomly. I ran the supplied connectors parallel to the factory rear speakers. There was a short. I inspected and re-inspected the connections to the speakers and found no fault. Finally I unmounted the amp (thinking I would have to return it) and everything worked great! I suspect the back of the case is very close to a pin on the board or some connection involving the rca inputs. I have had no issues since and love the features and power output of the amp! Luckily nothing was harmed in the shorting of this install. NOTE: Do a rough unmounted install of the amp for testing purposes BEFORE mounting. Still a 5 star amp in my book.

Class amp... works as expected... looking for ms-a1004's now

Does exactly as advertised. Hooked this bad boy up to a factory Bose system in a 2007 Chevy Tahoe paired with 2 8" JL audio subs wired 2ohm in parallel and could not be happier. This thing makes my mirrors look like they want 2 rattle out there skin. Good bang for your buck amp. I especially appreciate all the settings and flexibility I have now to be able to customize the sound to match the interior of my car. Subsonic filter and slopes, features I have no control over using my factory head unit. This amp is made simple, just dial in your settings and enjoy. I highly suggest reading the manual thoroughly to understand how the amp works. Ive had many amps over the years and I thought id wing it like I always have knowing what I already know and once I set up to what I thought was ready to go, once listening to it right away I know I did something wrong. Once I understood it's digital display and how to wire my sub to it I was blown away with what I got. I've spent more $$ on other setups and again was very impressed with what I got. I would have easily spent the $499 retail price for this knowing what it is I actually got. Very happy with this purchase.
