Frayed quickly & does NOT quick release. Dangerous product.
Awful and dangerous. This is NOT a quick release collar and very poor quality. Our kitten of 10 months, late last night got her tooth caught in a part of the collar that had become frayed. It wrapped around her tooth and she was incredibly distraught. Trying to catch her and free her from this was almost impossible. It took 4 of us to catch her, try and “quick release” the collar (this is why I bought this particular collar as suggested by a vet) and it just would not release or undo. We tried loosening it but was taking so long and impossible to do, we had to hold her tight and cut the collar off. Several cat scratches, a lot of blood and a very distressed kitten later, we had removed it. I have two more from the pack but will not be putting them on her.It should NOT have frayed so quickly (about 3 weeks after purchase) and it should have immediately come undone when pulled. I’m just glad she wasn’t out somewhere caught by her collar being strangled as this was the whole point of that particular collar. Poor kitten. Do not recommend.

Concerned with the safety buckle
So we received the buckles promptly and from onset appeared to be fine. When adjusting and testing the buckle seemed quite hard to separate unlike other safety collars we had in the past and this was all of them included in the pack.Although a little cruel, we tested how much wait to break the collar before attaching to our cat and found it did not break at our cats weight at 3.5kg. We gently lifted out lighter cat to just off the ground and still didn't break.(plenty of treats after for being ginea pig) The cats will wriggle and turn and will likely break but i'm not prepared to take the risk.A larger cat would probably fine also but as above not risking anything.Quality appears alright also but didn't really test further. We threw them away in the end.

Value for money
My cat is extremely wild and loves to hunt. Got him these because the bell is meant to give prey warning. Which it defiantly does, he hasn’t brought home any “gifts” since I’ve got these. I’ve had it on him for about 2 months and it’s still in good nick as much as he hates it. Also love the reflector as it leaves him very visible to cars at night

Not quick release
Collars came quickly and look smart with reflective strip but the reason I wanted these was for the safety release element which on these collars was as useful as a chocolate teapot. The clasp was far too strong and required from myself a strong tug for it to release, I cant imagine them releasing if the cat got caught. I have managed to stretch the plastic under heat so they are easier to release but really shouldn't be sold as quick/easy release item.

Well made and good quality
Well made and good quality. Is adjustable to fit perfectly. Safety buckle isnt too easy to break loose but will come away if cat gets caught. Reflective strip is spot on.Decent price for 3 collars - always good to have a spare incase he loses one.Delivery was super fast and packaged well. A***

Dangerous
Our cat has been seriously injured today from a bread from this collar becoming tangled in his teeth, they have lasted 3 months . His face is cut to pieces all round his lip and gum we are all really horrified - we have retained video of the mess he came home in , we have no idea how this happened and there is no way the fabric or thread should had ever been able to cut him, we couldn’t snap the thread we had to cut the collar off of him

release ok but not so you lose them to often
these are pretty good and good value this type of quick release works well. my cat, a pushy, bossy adventurous Havana Brown tends to drop a collar every couple of months but this one is lasting. i have her name/address in a capsule but i tape that up to the collar so is doesn't get in her way (nothing to do with the collar). she has managed to get most of the varnish of the bell but it is still tinging.

Dangerous...
The "Safety Quick Release Buckle" takes a LOT of force to open.I don't know how big or heavy the cat would have to be in order to actually force it open if it got caught on something, but I found it hard to open with my hands (everyone I've shown it to so far has agreed that it's worryingly hard to open). The metal ring that the bell is attached to also dangles down quite a bit and could easily get caught on things. My cat managed to get her claw stuck through said ring, and was in quite a lot of distress until I managed to force the buckle open and get it off her.
