PETZLE810AA00 SWIF RL Pro Lamp Black

Tried another brand and was quickly reminded of why Petzl has always been the standard. The auto-dimming is silly but easily defeated. Love this thing!

I've been using Petzl headlamps religiously for many years. So, I was totally pumped to get my hands on the Swift RL Pro. Unfortunately I quickly realized a fundamental design flaw: the limit of your ability to downward title the lamp is your forward line-of-sight. Many prior versions of Petzl headlamps allowed for tilting down beyond the horizon for good reason: there are many uses cases such as nighttime hiking where having the light shine immediately in front of your feet helps greatly in footfall, avoiding obstacles, and overall personal safety. That simply isn't possible with the Swift RL Pro. Although it came packaged with an adapter for a climbing helmet, I was disappointed at the functional limitation of the lamp on the headband.

because it’s wonderful little headlamp with so much power. the battery held it better than I thought. Long battery run times. I can really do without the auto adjusting I remember reading that in a previous review and now I understand what the guy was saying it’s kind of annoying. Until they can get that technology dialed in better I don’t really like it.

Originally I wrote a bad review however I discovered there was a way to turn off auto dimming. Its honestly a feature that's annoying and off putting even vision impairing, all I needed was a way to turn it off and the light as a whole after that is impressive all the way around.

Bright, easy to use and has red light function. Excellent quality.

Great brightness, range,& battery life but only down side is that it pops off its helmet bracket way to easy causing it to always fall off

Trae diferentes niveles de luz en la función Standar, y además a través de su sensor de luz genera más funciones de las cuales dependerán de la luz o la obscuridad del ambiente para que regule el nivel de luz adecuado sin necesidad de manipularlo, es de buena calidad el material que esta construida y tal vez el único pero es cuando se acabe la vida útil de la pila recargable, esperando para entonces existan pilas para comprar de repuesto, se recomienda ampliamente.

Habe die Stirn Lampe seit ca. 2 Jahren beruflich in Benutzung. Als Monteur für Glas Fassaden ist die Petzl vom Herbst bis ins Frühjahr täglich im Einsatz. Auf meinem Helm befestigt ist die Lampe sämtlichen Witterungsverhältnissen (Regen, Kälte usw.) ausgesetzt. Sie hat bis jetzt ohne Probleme funktioniert. Mit der Ausdauer des Akkus bin ich völlig zufrieden. Einen zehn Stunden Arbeitstag hält sie nicht durch. Aber sie wird ja meistens nur in den Morgenstunden und Abendstunden benötigt. Kann die Petzl nur empfehlen.
