desertcart.com: The Mistake: Soon to be a Streaming Series on desertcart Prime (Off-Campus, 2): 9781775293941: Kennedy, Elle: Books Review: 5 STARS โ The Mistake is sweet, sexy, funny and has the prefect amount of feels! Elle Kennedy ROCKS! - The Mistake is the second book on the Off Campus series by Elle Kennedy. The Mistake is Loganโs book and I can honestly say that when I read The Deal, I fell head over heels for this character from the moment I met him. How can you not love John Logan and his cocky grin? John Logan is a player a fact that he makes no excuses for. He is a very well-known member of the Briar University hockey team and because of this; he has no problems getting the female students attention. In fact he has no issues getting any females attention, at all. But lately Logan has realized that he has been hooking up even more frequently than usual, even by his own standards. In fact his friends are noticing it as well, but what they do not know, is that he has a reason for his behavior. He is just not willing to admit it or even consider dealing with it because he is far more comfortable with running away from the problem, then facing it head on. โThis obsession with Hannah Wells is really starting to mess with my head. I need to get laid. ASAP.โ Grace Ivers is a freshman at Briar University and she is well aware of who John Logan is. Her best friend has been chasing Dean, one of Loganโs teammates for quite some time now with no success. When she bumps into Logan at a party on campus one night, immediately following one of his many hook ups she is struck by his hotness and cocky attitude, but quickly pulls herself out of the lustful fog. John Logan is a player and there is no way he would ever be interested in her, the freshman virgin. Grace also has no interest in being yet another notch on Loganโs seemingly never ending belt loop. When Logan randomly knocks on Graceโs dorm room door one evening looking for a party, she is shocked. What could he possibly want with her? It has to be a mistakeโฆ and it is, he has the wrong room but, what happens next as they say is history. Grace and Logan are attracted to one and other and the sexual tension is thick enough to cut with a knife. Lust prevails and they do hook up that night, but Logan gets freaked out and leaves Grace โhangingโ immediately afterwards. She is confused and hurt. Logan is totally clueless; he does this all the time, hooks up and runs, but then it hits him, Grace deserves better than that. Grace is better than that. โI made the guy come last night and he didnโt even stick around long enough to kiss me goodbye. So yeah, I have to face the facts: Iโm just another girl on a long list of John Loganโs conquests.โ โLeaving a girl wanting isnโt just embarrassing. Itโs unacceptable.โ Grace is not a puck bunny, in fact she doesnโt even like hockey, she prefers football. Logan doesnโt do relationships; he has no time, between Hockey and dealing with his troubled family life. When Logan is finally realizes he has feelings for Grace he doesnโt handle it well at all. He wants what Garrett has with Hannah. He is lonely and the never ending line of hook ups no longer interests him, heโs thinking constantly of Grace, other women no longer interest him at all. But he has screwed up royally; can he ever win Grace back? โIt's a damn shame that duels don't play a role in the modern world anymore.โ The Deal was the first book I had ever read by this author and I loved it, I couldnโt wait to get my hands on The Mistake. It then got buried on my kindle and I just realized I hadnโt yet gotten to read it and I moved up the list. Iโm so very glad that I did, I love Elle Kennedyโs style of writing and being a Canadian I have a real soft spot for handsome, cocky, hockey players. I love that this book was a fabulous balance of sexy and steamy, sweet and sassy, funny and emotional. I love the characters, every single one of them. I especially love that the female main characters are spunky and sassy. The story line was great and I thought that the banter between characters was very amusing. I love that each book has a happily ever after and Iโm really excited now to begin reading The Score. I hope that each and every one of the crew is given their own story in this series before it ends, because now Iโm addicted. Iโm reading The Score next; Iโm excited to read Ali and Deanโs story. If you have not yet begun to read this series, I highly recommend it; I am loving this series by this fabulous Canadian author. โThis guy continues to surprise me. To awe me. Heโs a better person than I am, better than he gives himself credit for, and if I wasnโt sure about it before, then Iโm damn well sure of it now. I love him.โ โI need you. I canโt stand the thought of being without you.โ He releases a shaky breath. โYouโre the last person I think about before I go to sleep, and the first person I think about when I open my eyes in the morning. Youโre it for me, baby.โ Review: Loved Logan and Grace - 4-4.5 stars. I was excited to read Logan's story because he was such a fun character in The Deal, being Garrett's best friend and fellow college hockey player. The way he crushed on Hannah told me that he was going to fall for a girl with similar qualities like Hannah and I adored Hannah. Logan is a definite manwhore, but underneath, he graves genuine affection and a connection with someone. Grace is a college freshman who isn't afraid to be herself even though she has a tendency to ramble, but she makes no apologies for loving football and action movies. She's a sweet girl with very likable qualities, she's also very non-judgmental and open to new things. Grace has a crush on Logan but doesn't believe that he could ever notice her knowing his reputation. Their paths cross serendipitously and although their first encounters are not the norm for a budding friendship, they forge a semi-friendship as Logan tries to sort through all the issues in his head and relies on Grace to keep his mind off of the really bothersome stuff. Logan makes a big blunder and Grace detaches from him, leaving him behind for several months to mull over his mistake. The new Grace who returns to Briar won't put up with anyone's crap and if Logan wants to be her friend or more, she's going to make him work to earn it. I still love The Deal more than The Mistake and up until Grace returned to Briar for sophomore year, the story was moving at a decent pace but I wasn't feeling the intensity of the chemistry between Logan and Grace like I did with Garrett and Hannah. However, once Logan declares his intentions, the story really ramps up. There's still a lot of humor and laugh out loud moments (so glad that Dean is getting a book next, he's a riot), but the best part was seeing Logan go after someone he wanted without being deterred along the way and how he made sacrifices for his family. Another entertaining sports-themed NA read.

What can I say other than I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF THIS BOOK! Grace and Logan are such sweethearts and literally perfect for each other. She came into his life when he needed her the most, helped him heal and together they created a beautiful love story. I must admit Garret and Hannah and Allie and Dean (Yep, Iโm writing this review after I read The Score) kept me more on my toes but Grace and Logan are my precious babies that I keep tucked away in a special place in my heart and keep them protected at all costs. The whole Off-Campus Series is frick*n perfect!

I am continuing on with the Off-Campus series and I definitely enjoyed this book! But not as much as the first one. It was a very sweet and cute college romance book but I was having trouble connecting with the characters for the first half of the book. But it did pick up for me and eventually I did swoon and fall for both Logan and Grace. They were great for each other and I loved their banter I especially love the list of 6 items ๐คฃ I canโt wait to read book three and find out more about Dean! ๐คค โข Grace Ivers is a freshman at Briar and a virgin. She wants to experience all that college has to offer and in doing so her best Friend drags her out to almost every party, there she meets John Logan sexy as sin hockey star who is also a bit of man whore.. but this doesnโt stop Grace from wanting what she wants. Sheโs one of many who want John Logan. But she is also different from all the other women Logan hooks up with, she is smart, confident, and honest and she may be just what John Logan needs. But after a mistake leads grace to leave for 3 months sheโs back, and Logan isnโt going to lose her this time. โข John Logan was definitely sexy and I once again loved reading about all the hockey, but there was also much more to the story then hockey. I really enjoyed reading about Johns life and all he was sacrificing, he was a very admirable character and I loved his confidence. After a mistake with the one girl who makes John feel more heโs bound to get her back, and that means he will do absolutely anything necessary, because Grace just might be his forever girl. โข 4โญ๏ธ
