Schiek Sports Model 1100 WS Ultimate Weightlifting Wrist

Before purchasing these wrist supports, I tried on several competing brands. I found that those with a cinch, through which the strap is passed and the strap tightened before securing with the velcro, are far superior to those with velcro alone. These have the cinch and I can tighten them almost to the point of cutting off circulation. I choose not to make them quite that tight. The tighter the wrap, the better wrist support provided. The material used in these supports is about .25 inches thick and that is thicker than other products I've tried. They are also wider than most supports. The craftsmanship is outstanding. I purchased a pair each for my teenage son and I. We lift fairly heavy and both of us were experiencing wrist soreness. No longer. Additionally, both of us have found that, with proper wrist support, we are able to lift heavier on the bench presses (flat, incline, and decline) than we can without the supports. Neither of us have big wrists. I would say our wrists are between small to medium for guys. Yet these work just perfect. The color is black, not green as shown in the picture but really, who cares. We wear them to help us in the gym, not as fashion statements. My son is using his now in football off-season workouts and many of the other players rushed out and bought their own after experiencing the difference these supports make for weightlifting. We couldn't be more pleased.

Strong tight wrist support for your wrists!!! Other wrist supports are wimpy and sad excuses........BUT NOT THIS PRODUCT!!! These are strong with great support and velcro tightness. I highly reccommend these!!!

I have weak wrists and have just recently started working out. I learned immediately that I was going to need some sort of wrist support to continue. I looked around and read reviews and decided on this model because it looks very well built and I already have a pair of Schiek gloves which are extremely sturdy. What especially sold me is that they cinch up by doubling back through a steel buckle. All the others I have seen had buckles made of plastic. These are very, very high quality and I expect that they will last for a long time. I have used them several times and they definitely make a difference. I have thick wrists and they fit me quite well. So as others have noted they may be a bit big for small wrists. Schiek should probably make a smaller size for women and men with smaller wrists. I definitely recommend these.

Edit - I contacted Schiek support regarding the defective wrist support I received (with missed stitches and some fraying of the threads) and the owner immediately got in touch with me, was very responsive and definitely stands by his product. He shipped out a replacement to me right away and the replacement is great. I've updated my rating accordingly but am leaving my original review below. Take away - Great product, made in the USA, but there might be some minor QA issues so be sure to inspect what you receive carefully. Also, beware that some of the resellers on Amazon can ship counterfeit products! Original review below: I just received my Schiek wrist wrap in the mail and am extremely disappointed in the quality of this product. I intentionally decided to buy this product for an extra $5-$10 compared to some of the other options on Amazon since it seemed to be a recommended brand and I assumed that the extra dollars would go towards a better quality product. Much to my disappointment, the workmanship is extremely poor. The attached pictures show missing stitches and loose threads for a brand new wrist wrap that was never used. I expected a lot more for the price. While the cushioning and wrap seemed quite nice, I have no confidence that the cheap stitching would last much wear and tear. A brand new product should not have sections of the logo missing stitches altogether!

I still have pain from a previous wrist/forearm injury, and it normally prevents me from increasing weight when it comes to barbell curls or dumbbell press. With these straps I am able to up the weight without suffering any pain! They really help with stability, so it doesn't weaken my wrist at all during workouts. I am still able to go to physical therapy and rehab the wrist, all the while enjoying a good chest or arms day! Definitely recommend these for guys/gals with similar issues to mine! DO NOT USE THESE TO ACCOUNT FOR YOUR LACK OF BALANCE! If you want to use these ONLY for upping weight, your form will suffer! I only use these because I had a previous injury and my wrist/forearm is not completely ready for certain exercises. Once I am cleared by the doc, these will most likely sink to the bottom of my gym bag unless my wrist gives me trouble again.

A few months ago I started getting pain in both wrists during a few exercises at the gym, especially curls. I started to ease off the weight a bit and eventually ended up cutting the majority of those exercises out of my routine. Last weekend I got tired of cutting out exercises so I decided to do some research and find some wraps that might be able to alleviate some of the pain. After an hour or so of research I settled on these and I couldn't be happier. I used them today for the first time and I felt pretty much no wrist pain during my workout while wearing these. I was amazed at how well they work. I would definitely recommend these to anyone in a similar circumstance.
