Perfect size for my large cockatoos. And being stainless they can not crack it or digest pieces! Bird safety is number one in my book! It has hooks on the top and 2 tiny bolt hole on the bottom to attach it to the cage. It does not come with the bottom mounting bolts or washers. I had to purchase a couple at the hardware store to secure my mirror. If you have smaller birds it will be fine without the bottom bolts. But my extra large birds are very strong and lift it off the hooks playing with it. So mine needed bolting down.
