Great buy!!!
Our granddaughter LOVES this Hoverboard!! She's 10 and her favorite thing is all of the lights and the ability to play music through the speakers. The charge lasts a long time. The wheels are so smooth that she's allowed to ride it in the house on our hardwood floors. Whenever she rides outside, we simply use an antiseptic wipe to quickly wipe down the wheels (to remove any small rocks or dirt that might scratch our hardwoods, and for cleanliness/protection) and she's good to go again. Great buy!!!!

Hover-1 doesn't live up to their warranty
Got this for my daughter for Christmas in the beginning of December. She got it on the 25th of course, and it started having issues with one wheel not performing right towards the end on January. This put the item outside of Amazon's return window and onto the manufacturer. Amazon referred me via a link to Hover-1's return and warranty page. I emailed them and got a response 2 days later. It gave confusing and pitiful details on how I was to take pictures of the hoverboard before and after their 'decommissioning' instructions. I did it all after watching the battery removal video and cutting out wiring that I'm still not sure was right. However, that part I couldn't make much sense of since it looked different than my hoverboard. On to the deal breaker though. I sent the email with the pictures and a week and a half goes by with no word. I decided that it was time to send a follow up email for any signs of life and to ask if I had done the wiring portion right. Nothing. I send an email requesting status at 2 and a half weeks. Nothing. I send an email at 3 weeks saying I want to know what's going on or I will pursue other avenues. Nothing. So at 3 1/2 weeks after the initial email, I contact Amazon again because I can't find a telephone number for hover-1.. just that same email for support. Amazon tells me that it's outside of their warranty period, which I was aware of. I told them I wanted to see if they would contact hover-1 because they might give a crap if it was coming from them and not some random individual. They said they'd give me a one time exception and refund me but I would have to pay a $40 restocking fee. I called b.s. Told them I shouldn't have to pay for hover-1 not honoring their warranty, plus I bought a 2 year extended warranty through Assurion on Amazon that was apparently worthless. They then told me they'd refund the 2 year as well as the hoverboard, and they'd charge the restock fee but refund it when they got the hoverboard returned to them.. SO... Amazon made it right but they still tried to get one over on me too. They should pressure their retailers to hold up their end when it comes to warranty. Not make us pay a 'restock fee'. Ill find out tomorrow if I have to pay to ship it back. Pic is of my 'decommissioned' hoverboard. What a waste.. was a fun little toy. Sucks that hover-1 is a lousy POS retailer. Scratch them off your list and get a hoverboard elsewhere.

Super Good Price
I'm going to be honest this was an impulsive purchase but I always wanted one. And yet I have had zero time to even take it out of the box. I'm praying it's not broken. I've been so busy and that would be horrible if it didn't work.. I really like that it's for beginners

Hoverboard won't charge & exchanging via Amazon is a nightmare.
Bought hoverboard as a Christmas gift for my kid. The hoverboard did not come charged, so we plugged it in for the recommended 5 hours of charge time to no avail. When plugged into the charger, the hoverboard says it's charged 88% via the app, but once it's unplugged, it goes down to 0%. The charger light continuously is green indicating the hoverboard is charged. It never turns red indicating it needs charging. Because the color I bought is out of stock w/ Amazon, I can't exchange the item for a different one in stock (different color). A different color is $80 more than what I paid. Amazon will not price match. Amazon recommends I check daily to see if the color I ordered comes back in stock for an exchange. If it doesn't, I can return the unit for a full refund. We don't want to return the unit, we want to exchange for a working unit. Overall, disappointing experience.

Tech Support is the WORST
Been trying to get a hold of someone to help us sort out why it's not working and we aren't getting anywhere. Purchased the extended warranty through Amazon but its still covered under the manufacturers warranty. Contacted them and no response. Been going in circles trying to figure out who will help. After 5 days of use the hoverboard isn't working. You would think tech support would be more helpful!

Excellent hoverboard for a reasonable price!
Excellent hover board for a reasonable prize. The features make it extra special, specifically the changing lights and the booming speaker. My son loves riding his hoverboard, especially with the seat attachment. He likes playing techno music and pretending heโs in a Fast and Furious movie. The quality is exceptional and the speed is better than we expected.

Lasted two months! Customer Service awful!
My 9 year old son saved for a year to buy his own hoverboard and Hover 1 has been nothing but problems. The first hoverboard we bought in October would not charge. Amazon sent us a replacement. That replacement was great for two months and now no longer works. All of a sudden one wheel refuses to work. You cannot reach any human at Hover 1. So incredibly frustrating. We have been all over their website, watched you tube videos on how to recalibrate the board - nothing works. The app diagnostics shows a bad sensor which their website refers to as needing a new motherboard. The only way to reach Hover 1 is to submit a โhelp ticket.โ I have submitted three in the last week and a half and gotten zero response. I have included the Amazon receipt, the diagnostic report from the app - and heard crickets. My son is crushed. I am more than disappointed and expect better from this company. The board was great for two months - amazing lights and blue tooth feature โฆโฆbut we expect it to last for years not two months. Super frustrating and quite unacceptable.
