3M2080 G10 Gloss White 5ft x 10ft (50 Sq/ft) Car Wrap Vinyl Film

I wanted to protect my girlfriends brand new ikea desk since she does make up- which could easily stain. Ikea unfortunately does not make a glass top for this one, so I wrapped it for easy cleaning. “Semi-easy” to work with. The material is great, just not my wrapping skills. Overall, it turned out great. Stretchable, sticky, strong, ultra-pure white, easy to cut, beautiful high-gloss finish and it arrived in 3 days after ordering. I will buy another roll again to finish a few more ikea pieces because now they look like trash compared to the glossy 3M ones lol.

in this review I’m going to talk about this vinyl brand vs more expensive stuff from the view point of a self taught novice vinyl wrapper and some tips and insight I’ve learned.Backstory: So I’ve done two small motorcycles and 2 helmets and from a beginner stand point if you want to wrap something for the first time I say do it and don’t be scared to. You’ll probably mess up or get close to but that’s all right it’s very easily fixable with a small amount of heat using a heat gun.Material: I’ve wrapped my first bike and helmet using a more expensive wrap from metro restyling and that was very forgiving and had little to absolutely no bubbles or winkles. I bought this wrap on amazon for my second motorcycle and helmet wrap and it wasn’t too bad it wasn’t as stretchy as the metro one and there is some small winkles and It’s pretty prone to peel on the edges after awhile but overall it is good wrap for the money!! I would recommend metro first or if you wanna save a few bucks I’d recommend this second!Tips: I can not stress this enough though, BUY AN ACTUAL HEAT GUN it's extremely worth it because other people have tried using hairdryers on high heat so I tried it myself one time and it takes a painfully long amount of time to heat the vinyl. it is by far worth spending the extra money to get a proper heat gun just do NOT heat up the vinyl too much it doesn’t need much heat to stretch or retract etc. also be very mindful of stretching your vinyl because it can stretch a little too much and it looks thin and faded and be extra mindful on your edges especially if you do multiple vinyls on one piece using knifeless tape because it’s very thick vinyl so if you dont layer it right you'll see the seam.

Used this to wrap my huge mahogany desk. Looks good, very white, very flexible, and sticks very well. Can be peeled off without damaging vinyl in case you need to make adjustments. Glossy but not overly shiny so it does not reflect too much light. Toughness, I tried lightly poking surface with my blunt nail which left a mark but surprisingly semi-healed on its own after a few minutes. As long as you don't slice or stab the surface with anything sharp, it can handle much action. A great buy.

the only downside of this is it is of course a wrap, so you somewhat have to know what you're doing for it to come out looking 100% professional. but other than that, the film itself is actually very well made and the finish is very bright and looks and feels high quality.

I used the samples to put fangs on my Miata for Halloween. It was perfect - stayed on well, but easy removal with no paint damage.

I ordered this thinking its 3m film, to my surprise when it arrived it was nothing close. It's just a piece of very soft useless nylon. Please be warned don't fall victim of this scam

I used this (along with the red version) to change the colour of my motorcycle and it worked out great! Looks awesome (in my personal opinion) and was really easy to use! I recommend using a heat gun if you working with difficult angles.
