JSP Sonis Compact Adjustable Ear Defenders - SNR 32 - (AEB030-0AY-000), grey / orange, one size

I'm not in the habit of giving 5 star reviews, however I firmly believe that this product is deserving. I bought these to work with my new hard hat, the hat and the defenders are designed to work together. The defenders fit the hard hat snugly and are quite effective in reducing noise, covering my ears well. I don't find the fit on my head of the defenders and hard hat to be uncomfortable in any way, an important consideration for me for if there is discomfort I will not wear them.

I have always preferred to using Peltor since my first employer supplied Peltor ear defenders. I have since tried cheap ones at home for sawing or mowing lawn etc. but found them uncomfortable so went back to the Peltor brand. Initially my own purchase was a noise cancelling FM radio type then when 3M PELTOR ProTac III Headset, 26 dB, Slim Cups, Black, Headband became available, about 6 years ago, found this the most comfortable. It being smaller and lighter must have helped with the comfort. When Amazon offered this pair of Sonis at a good price, decided to give it a try. Could always have a spare set easily close at hand to the mower or mitre saw instead of having to take boots off, go indoors to fetch a Peltor then come out again to get booted.Happy to report this Sonis is almost as comfortable. Being rated 27db SNR and light weight helps. Also happy to report since this 27db pair, bought a helmet mount 31db for use with SDS hammer drilling and angle grinding.

I would only recommend these if your working in extremely loud environments where you need the extra hearing protection over smaller ear defenders due to their size and weight, unless you have some hench neck muscles 😳

These are fantastic. I work on the railway and they reduce mechanical aid/machine noice by some way. They are nice and snug, forming a good deal around your ears without being uncomfortable. They are slightly on the heavy side but for the protection they offer this is a neglible downside.

I got these guys first because of their impressive decibel rating but also because they go fabulous with the Portwest clear pink safety helmet.

Feels like a lot of weight on your neck. Need a strong neck to have it on your hard hat

Seul bémol, il est un légèrement lâche au niveau d'une oreille. Il lui manque des réglages fixes. Mais pour le prix, il est d'une excellent qualité et peu volumineux.
