No it's just batteries but it last very well when been kept on all night most nights

Does it auto turn off by itself after set time?

No, it has a push in button in the back that you physically have to press in order to turn on or off. Therefore it is left on all night!

How long do batteries tend to last on average?

Bought for my grandson, so really can't answer. I would think they last a while but that's just my opinion..

If your kid likes minecraft then your probably reading this

Honestly it is small for a lamp like the other reviews have said. It also doesn't come with any batteries. But for a kid that loves minecraft, its cool. Its doesnt give out alot of light but it is a glowing creeper, which it looks pretty awesome.
