Decide yourself
Donโt know what others are complaining about. Mine came quickly and not previously opened as others have said. Maybe some donโt really know how to properly use a flipper but while it is a bit tight it can be easily opened and closed one handedly, jumps out with just the slightest pressure. Dead centered and tight tolerances. No blade wobble in any direction whatsoever. I expect it will get even better action with a bit of time as I have had it only 10 days. Pearces and cuts very smoothly but I will still strop it up a touch for that sharper than sharp blade. Love the look and feel of the CF and titanium. Locks up rock solid and the tip of the lock bar is hardened steel so it doesnโt wear out. Good blade length at 3.5 inches of 20 cv. Not as beefy as my 0566cf hinderer or 0350ts but it isnโt meant to chop branches or for camping/wilderness survival. Great edc due to itโs size and weight, it disappears in your pocket and can be carried in dress clothes discreetly. Only thing is I wish the pocket clip was a bit longer but thatโs it. If you are on the fence with this one I hope this helps.

Good edc

Mostly great
Out of the box this knife was superb. Lightweight but still full-sized and perfect for EDC. After two weeks, the locking mechanism started to "click" when disengaging the detent. I noticed a couple of days later that if I didn't use considerable force in deploying the blade it wouldn't lock. Comparing the action to the other three ZT knives I own (450, 452CF, 562CF), the other actions lock the blade even if you gradually open it by hand. It's as if the blade doesn't open all the way or the detent is too long (or was bent with normal use). I assume this is a flaw and have reached out to ZT about it. I will follow up this review with comments on their response.

Great slim knife
This is a great knife. Be mindful that itโs slim so donโt expect a hefty knife. The frame lock is a bit stiff and takes some getting used to. The action (flipping it out) is smooth and the knife is very sharp out of the box. Given the slim design, the pocket clip is small and it works well with thin pockets; I usually carry a larger knife when wearing jeans. I use this as an edc but I think it will be great for filleting trout too.

Lightweight
This knife is so close to perfection, I love the action while opening this knife. The quality is as expected from Zero Tolerance, razor sharp right out of the box. The only downside to this knife would be the possibility fragile tip, the blade on this knife tapers down to an extremely thin tip. I would never advise using a blade to pry but would certainly avoid using this tip for much.

Someone else's reject sold as new.
This lower-than-average review is more about the seller than the knife itself. (Deadwood Knives) As the title states. No one wants to be sold a used or rejected product as new. If you're going to resell it. At least spend a few minutes to check it out and straighten out any issues the product may have. When I open the shipping box and saw the torn tab. It wasn't obvious someone had sent it back, boxes are opened at the store all the time, but it was the first indication. After further inspection. the blade was tight, hard to deploy, and it had been carelessly wiped down after whatever use it may have had. After a clean rag, a slight adjustment with a couple of T8 Torx bits the blade deploys and closes as it should, but I can't fix the box, and as a collector, and aficionado of several different brands of midrange knives. The box is a valuable part of the collection when it comes time to resell. As far as the knife goes. It's a large gentlemen's knife plain and simple. Light duty only. A very substantial letter, and box opener. I wouldn't even attempt to cut too much cardboard with knives like these. I EDC my 450, and have had the lock over travel, and require a bit of effort to unstick it after cutting down a cardboard box. With the same general construction as the ZT 450, 460, and 462. Titanium on one side, carbon fiber on the other, and no liner. The 707 is as light as light can be. You don't even know it's in your pocket until you reach for it. A nice knife if you understand its limits.

Excellent in every way but use the flipper correctly
Super lightweight and thin with quiet fast flipping action. Disappears in your pocket and the small pocket clip makes it look like a pen or tiny knife. A unique second flexible detent design allows you to squeeze the framelock and still open it easily. As long as you know how to use this flipper, it will open fast and strong every time. Just make sure to push-button the flipper tab or just flip the tip. If you place your finger too far forward and light-swith it, you will have a fail.

This knife has terrible action. Difficult to believe ZT would produce something like this.
This knife has the worse action of any knife I've handled in the past couple of years. I like ZT in general. They have produced some other impressive smooth opening knives. This one is a complete fail, in terms of being a good flipper. The materials, machining, are all top notch as always. However, for me, none of that matters if the knife isn't functional and comfortable to flip open, use and close. If you want your flipper finger to be in pain, this is the knife for you. Also, if you enjoy the feeling and sound of metal digging into metal when the knife is opened and closed, this is the knife for you. I can appreciate ZT attempting to address a concern of some users, that pressure on the lock bar makes some of their knives tough to open. However, this solution makes too many compromises, and isn't worth it in my opinion. This is a very disappointing offering. Hopefully ZT reconsiders using this tuned detent design in the future. I think its really going to hurt their sales. They are known for smooth opening knives, doesn't make since whey they would want to be known for gritty, difficult to open knives. If you want a ZT, would recommend one of their older models from past several years that has the standard frame design.
