Good Small Scale Set Up
Great for vacations! I have a few plants that I need to keep watered while I am away and this is a nice set up for doing that. It is easy to set up, just cut the tubes and attach them to the unit. The unit fits on a 5 gallon bucket. It is powered by AA batteries. The pump just about reaches the bottom of the bucket. It's a couple inches short but this should still be plenty of water. You choose how many seconds you want the unit to run and how often; i.e. everyday, or every two days, etc. You don't have to use all the ports either but it has ten. So this will cover ten plants or you can group some in a tray or container and water from the bottom as I plan to do for mine. So far it is working quite well. I'm testing mine out before I leave so hopefully there aren't any surprises.

Great for the upcoming winter months
I only took this out and tried it out once to make sure it works before I bring my plants in for the winter season.Seemed to work nice for the short time trying it out.I'll only be using this on 1 or 2 plants that I'll have in my tub for a couple of months. So, I think a full 5 gallon bucket of water should last a long time before I have to refill it.I'm hoping that the pump lasts once I get everything set up and running every day.If it does, this will save me so much time not having to worry about watering my plants every day/every other day. Will have to update if I have any issues.

inadequate tubing, cheap feel
unit pumps water competently, but setup is very frustrating -- the tubing does NOT fit the outlets (I had to re-engineer the connections using heat-shrink tubing at the ends), the kinks in the tubing from packaging are just about impossible to straighten (making insertion into the water bucket and leads to the plants finicky). programing is easy (though not as described in the installation booklet). water flow is good, and presuming the tubing will stay in place, installation once conquered is not a long-lived problem. The unit is fashioned from cheapish plastic, but then again its price is low. I hope its lifetime is reasonable.

Awesome for indoor garden
Fiancé and I are transitioning from traditional gardenening to indoor hydroponics and right now, this is keeping my herb garden perfectly watered while we find a hydroponic solution. Love the near fill it and forget it, i dont have to worry if I've watered and my herbs are enjoying it, too!

Intake Hose Is Too Short For A 5gal Bucket
I got this thinking I might use it indoors this winter but honestly I'm not sure I trust it enough and I realized I didn't want a ton of hoses running everywhere. It might be useful indoors if I was going on holiday for awhile and didn't have someone to water the plants but I would also have to test it for at least a week before I went to ensure I had the right amount of water to avoid soaking and over watering. That said I hope this will be useful in the Summer when I put all my houseplants outside so I've tested it and will come back in the Spring once I set it up.My observations when testing:This is noisy when it runs. Now, odds are you will only have it running for 20 seconds at a time or so. So it may not be too much of an issue. But worth noting. Flow was about what I expected.Runs on 4 AA batteries which are in a compartment that needs to be *screwed* shut. Don't understand how they couldn't have done this with a clip-shut back. The intake hose is too short for a 5 gal bucket (which is the size one should use for this kind of system. You can get them at any feed store or hardware store). Even fully stretched out (which you would have to do with some kind of weight to get maximum length as it wants to curl up) the intake hose is at least one full inch from the bottom of the bucket. I tried it with a 3 gallon bucket and it did sit on the bottom but that wouldn't last a week for my plants in the summer. Why have something that I have to fill with nearly the same frequency as I would need to water anyway? The set up for frequency of watering is mildly confusing. I couldn't figure out why it has 2 timing settings so I'll have to fiddle with that when I actually set it up.So giving 3 stars for now. Once I set the whole system up in the Spring and run it a bit I'll come back and update if I have any revelations.

needs more hose
This works OK. The supplied hose, however, is too short. You'll need more hose to connect up 8 different plants.

Stopped Working After Only A Month
I bought two of these systems a month and a half ago. One is working well but the other pump just broke. I reached out to the seller and didn't hear back, which was very dissapointing.
