Marine Flag Pole with Base, Flag Pole Holder, 316 Stainless Steel Flag Pole Set for Boat, Yacht, Truck and Yard - Flag Pole 24 inch

I purchased this to fly a fouled-anchor ensign flag (rectangle alternative to the usual stars and stripes) and it's perfect. The manufacture quality is top notch - everything polished nicely, hardware all fits correctly, thumb screw, etc. It's sturdy as heck - I constantly have to resist temptation to use it as a hand hold when moving about the boat.I put this on the back of my 23' Grady White - center transom and it looks great. My boat as a motor mount extension so the outboard sits back from the transom and so does not get in the way of the flag. When the motor is down and we're underway, it looks great. For transom mounts, you'd want to move this to port or starboard on the transom - but that's no fault of the flag pole, just a limitation of mounting options.I've been using this for a few months now and the salt air and water don't seem to affect it at all (real stainless steel). There is a slight (very slight) appearance of some rust on the slots of the mounting screws so I'll keep an eye on it, but otherwise it seems immune to marine conditions.The mounts for the flag itself are incredibly strong - the flag is not going to break free unless it rips apart. They do not spin, so you need align them facing backwards, but I didn't care for the spinning mounts anyway and it hasn't been an issue at all (for my use the flag is being blown backward all the time on the boat).The only downside to this flag pole is that now the rest of the hardware on the boat looks dull and in need of serious polishing :)I'll probably be purchasing another flagpole for the bow to fly my club's burgee.Before you order, make sure to research the proper flag pole height to flag size ratios (there are many websites) and also match the flag size to your boat length. If you take care to get it all sized properly it will look fantastic.Good boating!

This flag pole is a high quality piece. It really looks nice. Just make sure to get the right length

I installed the pole for a bow burgee on our 21' Sea Ray just aft of the running lights. The 24" length is just right for a typical burgee/pennant. Very sturdy and easy to install if you have the right spot for the base.

This is very sturdy and well built.

I Bought 2 of these. Although I Only Needed 1 Mount, I Wanted 1 Flag Poles. (1 for a Distress Flag & 1 for a Skier Down Flag.) It IS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!! I Just went to the Hardware Store, Bought 3 Chrome V Head Allen Screws, 3 Flat Washers & 3 Self Locking Nuts. Looks & Works PERFECTLY!!!!!

I bought this to attach to my kayak because the lake I go to is full of power boaters who are not often entirely sober and those that are, often are not paying adequate attention.My solution was to put a big, bright flag on my kayak so that they at least can see the flag, if not the actual kayak with me in it.This product is great, except that I had to go buy additional mounting hardware because the screws/bolts did not have washers or anything to brace from the underside. So this is great if you're installing on a big boat where you don't have any concerns about the thickness of the material that you're mounting into. But for a smaller boat (or a wooden one), you'll need to purchase either a couple extra bolts with washers, or a metal plate to brace the pole from the underside of the deck.

Comes with enough hardware to use for installation on any surface. I mounted it with bolts and nuts provided in the package onto my radar arch. The package also included screws and wall anchors as well. The look of this flag pole is really nice. It's extremely sturdy and solid, worth the extra $$ compared to other cheap models I've owned before.
