Very well built but one thing to consider
This is a very heavy duty stand that the speakers automaticly go up but getting them down can be a bit tricky. They have to be pulled down and the force to pull them down can be kinda difficult. Don't just unscrew the pole or it will shoot up to it's max height and getting it down is a major pain. I had some very heavy Mackie's on it and you have to push them up and down. I have 2 ELX 112P's EV's and they shoot right up. Also although the bag fit's the stands fine it is not the Ultimate support branded bag as the pic shows. No big deal as it is a nice bag with a good zipper but they shouldn't show the Ultimate support bag if that is not what you get.. But price was pretty good. I just saw Proaudiostar.com had them at buy one get one free and that was a much better deal than I got from Amamzon just no bag..

Great product hampered by a serious design oversight.
I am used to Ultimate support making above-average stands, I should know, I have purchased stands from them for 15 years. When I saw these they went right into my wish list as I have heavy items to lift really HIGH up!Now after using them for a bit over 12 months, I am struggling with customer support to honor the LIFETIME GUARANTEE they promise their customers. The stands have a problematic locking collar that goes bad after enough lock/unlock cycles have been repeated. First one went bad within 6 months, Now the second one is not able to do its job. It is very frustrating!!!This locking collar becomes weak or slippery against the pole that its supposed to tighten against, and allows the POWERFUL gas strut inside of the stand to push the pole out and up, no matter how hard you tighten the collar. The collar works fine when new, and a for a bit after relative to the amount of use you give it... for me while using this stand several times a week it is proving to be more trouble than it is worth. In my opinion, the collar isn't designed to cope with the tremendous pressure that the gas strut is pushing. The manufacturer's solution?"You have to be tactful with how you tighten the collar. We cannot replace the collar for you, you'll have to buy it".Tactful? Careful? Ok, I get that I should not over-tighten the collar, that is true for anything! If you overtighten something will get damaged or something will strip, but with this stands, the issue is different. Even from the beginning I knew to be very tactful with the second stand I purchased (due to my experience with the first one), but eventually the gas strut on the second stand would still start to push out and the collar would be unable to hold the pressure. So what do you have to do? Tighten a little harder! This cycle progresses until practically no amount of pressure on the collar can keep the pole from sliding out and then you strip the nut.I am now waiting for a call from "Mary" who by now has received a couple of voicemails from me.The rest of the stand is outstanding, but this issue is not something most customers can prevent, and no where in the manual is there a statement about the fragility of the collar and special instructions on how to deal with the collar, but it wouldn't matter, the collar eventually fails to do its job, it has nothing to do with the owner being careful. The strut is very powerful! The collar isn't sticky enough (or at all) to hold without high pressure being applied to the collar. This is a faulty design!THE WARRANTY SHOULD APPLY TO SUCH MANUFACTURER's FAILURE!
