I want to return it. I never got any reading from it. Once the light on top came on . They never came on on the front.

**update 2**Apparently they are discontinuing the app for these sensors (see pictures) and you loose ALL your data from the first app not only that but now the sensors won't link to my tablet via the new app AT ALL. I really wanted to like these things (hence why I bought 2) but they have become more and more useless.. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.**update** finally got both to work but now a new problem apparently the battery in the sensor LAST LESS THAN A MONTH! Ridiculous I expected to buy this and have it last MORE THAN A MONTH.**ORIGINAL POST**Lasted exactly 17 days.. that's about the time I received my second one for another plant. That's when both refused to sync to my tablet making this 100% useless. Even when I take the 2nd (newer one out of the equation) the 1st won't sync any longer. Even when setting up the 1st one I noticed it was a bit finicky... My tablet typically connects to a VPN for security but I noticed when connected the unit wouldn't sync at all (strange as a VPN has nothing to due with the bluetooth it uses to connect with) It is worth pointing out that it is a Chinese company that makes the unit and software, if that's connect I don't know.Now that I have ordered 2 and even the 1st one was a pain to set up and use I can't see giving something like that more than 1 star. Hope this review helps anyone looking into this unit.. great idea just dosnt cut it..

UPDATE:Before I had even contacted WANFEI US about my defective product they reached out to me having seen my review and offered a full refund. So for anyone debating whether or not to place an order I feel confident in stating that, while product control may not be perfect when it comes to this monitor, the company's customer service is committed to make things right should you receive a faulty device.– – – – –I bought this in anticipation of getting a plant for my bedroom based on The Spruce's article of Best Plant Moisture Meters and, assuming the recommended product would function well, neglected to open it until I finally had a use.Well, 6 weeks the plant had arrived, so I finally unboxed the WANFEI Monitor, removed the tab that activates the battery/Bluetooth, brought my phone as close to the device as possible and: Nothing.Couldn't get signal/connection.Unfortunately I'm now well past the point of a Free Return through Amazon.But as my Headline alludes, looks like I'm not the only one who has experienced this and at least one other reviewer shared having a good experience with customer service, so in addition I'll be reaching out to them.

I've had one of these a month now, and just got a second one. I am using these with Home Assistant, and an ESPHome bluetooth proxy device to send the data to Home Assistant. In HA I set up notifications to let me know when to water the plants. I will update this in case one breaks or anything. So far after a month, the first one still says 100% battery left. A little pricey, but now I can "remember" to water the plants much better with the HA notifications.

It seemed to work well, and I read the page fairly well - but apparently I missed any reference to each unit being "tied" to a specific plant type once you sync it to the app.I was hoping for something that we could walk around with, stick into different types of plants, tell the app "now it's in the soil for X type of plant", get a readout, and move around the garden checking each plant.3* because - 1 - I'm usually a pretty thorough reader before purchasing, and the function was not made clear, and 2 - the setup of the app and unit was slightly clunky. Once it was set (for one plant) it seemed to work pretty well though.

I hope this thing is accurate because I love the app and the ease of use. It seems super accurate for sunlight and water because I can test that. The fertility of the soil is the best feature and seems to be working. It showed a low fertility and I started adding fertilizer and the numbers went up. I have yet to hit the range for soil fertility mark so I hope it is right because I am jacking up the fertilizer. But so far I really like this product. Great app and if it is as accurate as it seems so far it is the missing ingredient to my planter gardens!

Definitivamente tendría uno para cada planta que tengo en casa, si no fuera por el precio. Lo cual no me parece desorbitado teniendo en cuenta la calidad del instrumento. Mide la humedad fertilidad y el sol. Puedes leer estas indicaciones a través de la app. Además eliges la planta de una larga lista para que la app te aconseje cómo y cuando debes regar o fertilizar así como la cantidad de luz que necesita la planta en questión. Se conecta vía bluetooth. Lleva una pila de botón, lo cual sorprende teniendo en cuenta lo mucho que dura. Una herramienta muy útil.

Ich habe mir leider mehr versprochen. Trotz der negativen Rezensionen wollte ich mich selbst überzeugen, aber ich muss mich meines besseren belehren.Alleine die Kopplung mit meinem Samsung Galaxy 8 hat erst nach zig Versuchen erst funktioniert. Auch alle Tipps in der dazugehörigen App brachten keine Abhilfe, mich einen Tag später wieder mit Bodentester zu verbinden. Leider kann ich nicht sagen ob es an der App oder Tester liegt. Ich werde jetzt eine Retoure über Amazon beantragen.Mein Fazit ist, lasst die Finger davon. Technisch scheint das Gerät nicht ausgereift zu sein. Der Hersteller sollte reagieren aufgrund der Bewertungen.
