Can't go wrong with this masterpiece .

I am new to quilting and wanted some books to get some ideas. I found Amish Quilts at my local library and liked the content enough to purchase a copy for my personal library. I was intrigued with a comment in the introduction that seems to sum up what an Amish quilt is: The quilts are pieced from geometric shapes; there is no appliqué, and construction is simple. There is a good variety of quilts and the instructions seem easy to follow. I'm going to try the Amish Squares on page 108.

Lovely book for Amish style projects. Only disappointment was that I wanted the red/black saw-tooth pattern which wasn't supplied.

Nice interesting quilting book, I like it really, the projects look interesting. I have it in my library of quilting books as a good reference. But it is much like lots of other quilting books, really nice to refer to.I wish some learned person would compile a volume of actual Amish quilts, historical ones, some information on the makers, lifestyle and inspirations, methods of construction, history of the fabrics, why the amazing jewel colours, and the plain designs. With some instruction in the construction,we could put together our own projects.I like this book though, I'm glad I bought it because it has started me on the road to finding out all about Amish quilts both past and present and where in the human heart of creativity they come from.

Some stunning designs ranging from the most simple to more complex demonstrates the enormous variation that can be achieved in quilting. Love the use of colour and the simplicity of some of the designs. Is well illustrated.

Very well illustrated and very good instructions for making the many great projects in this book.
