wanted a small work light for doing repairs on my vehicles. this worked well, good price, lasts a long time on one charge. Fairly bright, and served the purpose. they come in a durable casing and put up with the occasional dropping. they have a small rectangular magnet on the back (not very large surface area) but pretty much attached to any metal under my hood or under the vehicle.

It was a winter of our discontent in River Grove, Illinois, the kind of cold that seeps into the bones like the chill off the Anduin when the shadow lies heavy upon the land, and there I was under the hood of my Outback at three in the morning because the alternator had decided, in its infinite mechanical wisdom, to betray me on the very night the snow began to fall in earnest. I set one upon the magnetic base and it clung to the fender like a faithful shield-brother to the shoulder of a beleaguered king; the other I hung by its sturdy hook from the strut tower, and lo, the engine bay was flooded with a steady, golden radiance that banished every shadow, revealed every corroded bolt, every frayed wire, as though Gandalf himself had cried “You shall not pass!” to the encroaching night. Three modes—high, low, strobe—like the changing moods of the Valar: one for the patient tracing of a fuel line, one for the quick assault upon a stubborn nut, and the strobe to dazzle any would-be thief who might creep toward my camp tent at dusk. Rechargeable, too, through USB-C, so no more scavenging for AA batteries in the dead of a power outage; they drink from the wall like thirsty men at the wells of Rivendell. And when the hurricane (or, in these parts, the next polar vortex) comes roaring down from the north, these lights stand ready, hanging from rafters or perched on shelves, throwing back the gloom with the stubborn courage of the Ents at Isengard. I have carried one through the belly of the car, through the tent pitched beside the Des Plaines River when the power failed, through the garage at midnight while the wind rattled the doors like orcs at the gates. They do not falter. They do not dim. They endure. Excellent !!!!! worked very, very well. Small where you can fit in your pocket and very bright where you can put them into a machine and it lights up all the electrical that you need to work on.

These are sturdy and well made. The black areas of the plastic bezel are a softer, spongy plastic that's more forgiving of drops than the hard yellow plastic. I have not verified how well they stand up to water, but they appear to be well sealed. These have an indicator LED by the charging port that shows battery status - this is green under normal operation, and turns red when battery is at about 20%. When charging, and the unit is off, this is red and turns green when fully charged. Be advised - these have built-in rechargeable batteries, but do NOT come with a charger. I used my Samsung "rapid charger" rated at 2 Amps to charge, using the supplied cable. Unit pulled just under 1A, and a full charge took 5.5 hours. That's a long time if you need to use the flashlight again. I don't have a light meter to objectively test, but both modes are what I would call "ungodly bright". When fully charged, even LOW is too bright to look at. HIGH is brighter, but not significantly so. After 2 hours of use, both modes were noticeably dimmer - HIGH suffering the biggest hit, while LOW was only a tiny bit dimmer. Run time was 5.5hrs on high, and 9.5hrs on low (did not test flashing mode). Magnet is strong & due to the clever design, when you put it on metal, the unit actually rests on the soft plastic bezel (not the hard metal magnet, which could scratch) - a nice touch. Price was steep for a couple of battery powered lights, but these are well made, rechargeable and ran for a long time - I will probably get another set.

Very reliable lights! Hold charge well and are very bright! Also, they are really handy because they're magnetic.

So I needed a work light for when I'm doing stuff under the hood of my car and these seemed affordable and convenient. They're rechargeable, LED, and magnetic, plus they have a little metal folding hook to hang the light. This combination makes them easy to place and the LEDs make them long lasting. I just keep them topped off and throw them into my tool bag for use whenever I need them and so far they've done pretty well for my casual usage.

Checks all the boxes: rechargeable, small but powerful with variable light brightness, magnetic and clip attachment abilities. I like smart engineering….this has it and a great value as well.

The light itself has been very useful while working on my truck, jet skis and home projects. I typically only use one of the three setting (low, bright, flashing) which has been bright. The battery life is surprisingly long. The hook on the back has been used once but that requires you to orient the light in a portrait mode. This is mainly because the swing out hook is on one end of the light housing. My bone-of-contention with these lights has been magnet and how it is mounted in the body. The magnet itself sits in a metal frame which is screwed into the plastic housing. The magnet itself is very strong, maybe too strong. I say this because the magnet housing has pulled out of both lights and cracked the light housing. My suggestion would be to orient the magnet inline with the housing not perpendicular. Additionally mount the magnet more centered in the housing and not towards one end. In both cases I have used Gorilla Glue to remount the magnet but it is only a matter of time before it fails again.

When i first received these light, i was surprized. There was no brand name on it, no model number, and no indication where it was made. To say the least, i wasn't expecting much. But ive had them for a year know. They've held up well, i use them for checking out drywall on finish sanding. They're bright, and easy to work with. The only down side i have with them, they're slow to recharge, but i havent had a problem sanding out a whole house with them. Would buy again.

So far, very good. Very bright light.

Really like these lights. They last a long time. Would be great if they had an adjustable handle.
