Yes- the phone holder attachment rotates, so it should work in theory, but if you're recording looking straight down, the tripod legs are going to be in your video and your workspace is very limited because of the aforementioned tripod legs being in the way. Also, the phone holder didn't feel too secure - like the phone was too heavy for it at this angle. When the phone is aimed down, the configuration also gets messy with trying to attach the ring light. I couldn't make it work.
