I gave him the gift the end of September before I went away on vacation. When I returned, my brother didn't want to hurt my feelings by telling me the cutter did not work on his bagels. Most of these bagels are large and soft so they must be squished into the slicer which grossly deforms the appearance of the bagel. By the time he told me that the bagel cutter didn't work for him, it had exceeded the 30 day return policy. Now he's stuck with a $55.00 bagel cutter he cannot use. I am quite displeased that this is advertised as a commercial slicer and he still has to slice all the bagels with a knife.
