AM FM Portable Radio Designed for Long-Range Reception and Audio Clarity and Emergencies! Reception and audio are two reasons to own a better made portable radio. For over 10 years C. Crane's CCRadio line has had some of the best AM reception available in a radio. With the new CCRadio-2 Enhanced version, audio can be accurately tuned for realistic human voice. It can also be adjusted for good musical performance! FM reception is a full step up in its ability to bring in a weak station clearly. The CCRadio-2E Enhanced also has the weather band/alert along the 2-meter Ham band. The five memory buttons on top of the radio make it easier to change stations rather than front mounted buttons. The boost in AM performance comes from C. Crane's patented Twin-Coil Ferrite AM Antenna. This technology can give a noticeable boost to weak AM signals under most circumstances. After you select a station, the CCRadio-2E evaluates the signal for several seconds and then locks it in for the best possible signal. The display features a full backlight and three levels of brightness and an "off" setting. The Weather Band, can keep you informed of any NOAA alerts. The 2-Meter Ham band may make the CCRadio-2E a life saver during an emergency. **Q: True? Just 5 memory presets/band-at this price? What's ^ point of being able to pull in so many stations w/just 5 presets? My clock radio has 12/band!**
A: Yes, just 5 memory presets. We agree with you and we will eventually come out with a similar radio with more presets. We understand the radio market has been jumbled in recent years which makes more presets a requirement. Most people purchase it for the reception, audio and other features.

**Q: any suggestion for added antenna for AM stations?**
A: Get the C. Crane EP Pro with old school slide rule tuner. I have it, tunes great.
But any of C. Crane’s with twin coil ferrite antenna should work great, best in the world for AM.
Tecsun’s best wouldn’t pull in AM distant stations.

**Q: the picture on the sight shows the radio 2...Is this model the enhanced 2E**
A: Turn the radio off. Hold down the Band button, if display shows 103 or 114 it is enhanced model. ( Info from CCrane Co.)

**Q: Just received my radio today. Plug it in and the power switch does nothing. It won't work. Help?**
A: You have the radio lock on. It is the small tab inside a 3/8 inch indentation above the volume control. It says lock and should be in the off position to power up the radio.
