How active are these crickets?

Active enough for my bearded dragon. I'm in a rural area so about 15% are already dead but that's OK. Better than driving 2 hours round trip to the store at 11cents each!

Do these crickets chirp?

Yes. 1000 crickets will chirp. I wouldn't suggest keeping them somewhere you don't want to hear crickets chirping.

Do you provide a heat pack when shipping to a cold state?

No heat pack was included in mine. 40% were dead, and these are TINY. They measure 1/2" ONLY if you measure from end of antena to outstreached rear leg.

Why so many bad reviews? Made me look elsewhere...

I dont know why there are so many bad reviews, but my experience upon arrival was many many dead crickets in the box. I didnt count, but estimate it to be about half the box dead on arrival. I never received a response from the company or Amazon so I will be loking elsewhere too.
