The God Players

I really enjoyed the fast pace of this book, and although I've heard about it and have always enjoyed Phil Valentine, I never thought it would be an interesting subject for a novel for me to read. I'm glad I broke down and bought it. Excellent read, especially for a subject that just didn't peak my interest until I did. I couldn't stop reading until I finished. Highly recommended! Most definitely for any open minded reader.

I am a constitutional conservative Christian minister who agrees with Phil's politics 80% of the time but I wanted to read this book to see if there was more to him than "opinions". I found this to be one of the best reads of this century. The premise, the style and grace with which he built the characters and story including unexpected twists and turns...even to the end...his attention to details of both the settings and the personalities... I may only agree with his opinions 80% of the time but I emphatically agree with his creative literative genius 100% and plan on reading everything he pens. In fact, I've already purchased his next one!Thank you Phil

Out comes the liberal media, the attorneys, the gay, religious and scientific communities and the battle is on.Phil Valentine has imagined a great plot, excellent character development, superb dialogue and a fast paced tempo to create one of the best books I have read in years. You won't be disappointed.

Phil takes on a political topic and flips it upside down. Let views are presented along with multiple surprises. Good characters and background information. The end surprised me.

A thought provoking book over a subject that could be close to becoming a reality in the near future. Definitely worth reading!

I'm not a reader. I listen to books mostly but I love Phil so I got this on Kindle. It's an easy read; if it did take me forever. It was my bus travel book so I was reading only on geezer bus trips. I loved the story line. the flow. I could put it down and pick it up 3 mo. later and get right back into it with out going back refreshing. Interesting topic. I can't wait to jump into his next novel.

Brilliant concept concerning a subject that has haunted societies for centuries.Homosexuals have gotten angry and maligned, as well as belittled this writing as well as the author because they feel they are always under attack and have to live under a microscope. Reality check boys and girls, look up the definition of NOVEL and stop feeling abused. Your sexual proclivities are what they are and nothing and no one is, nor ever will, change that.

This is one of the most thoughtful and thought provoking books I have read and I read constantly. The author makes you feel for both sides of this argument and so have to think about what you would do in a similar situation as the parents in the study not to mention if you were a juror deciding the fate of a procedure that could change completely the life experience of people not yet born. Way to go Phil!!
