Easy to Set Up
Completely set up in about 15 minutes. No need for tech support so I'm not sure how helpful they are, but I've had it for about a month now and it prints great every time. I haven't tried to print on photo paper yet, but a color print on regular paper as well as cardstock works perfectly. Also, we bought it refurbished and it DID come with ink to complete setup.

Took a little while to get set-up, but works well. This was a reconditioned unit.

Dead after 8 months of very light use.
Wireless option setup disconnected from my network after 1/2 hr idle. Reconnect a nightmare of pushing buttons and waiting and powering off and waiting and UG! After a few days just relocated the printer and used USB connection. That worked fine. After a period of non use it was printing blank pages. Ok, maybe time for some maintenance. Ordered new ink cartridges. Set to install them but, print head locked to the right of the printer where its inaccessible. Doing a test print I could hear and see it moving back and forth printing a BLANK page. UG! Try the HP Smart app, and the HP Diagnose and fix app. Neither had anything helpfule. HP Website pointed back to those tools with nothing else helpful. No ideas on this bizzare printhead behavior. UG! No way to diagnose printhead position problem. No way to replace ink cartridge. This is no longer a printer, it is trash after 8 months. This might be a one off issue that products have. I don't know if it's a "lemon" type or engineering type problem. I do know I was never happy with my choices of HP computers / laptops. Now I'm not happy with HP anything. Your choices and experiences are your own. Best of luck.

It's a nice printer, BUT...
This is a nice printer however it is made for use with smartphones over WIFI. I bought it for my PC using the USB connection. I found that I could not scan offline using the "smart" app. It appears that HP wants a copy of everything you scan. With a bit of searching I found an app on HP's website that allows you to perform all functions offline. Since it was hard to find and a bit difficult to install, it seems that they don't want you to use it. I found that I could install the app only if I took my PC offline. I found that kind of odd. I saw several questions about whether it comes with ink cartridges. Mine came with both black and color OEM cartridges.

Great Buy
Definitely an upgrade from my previous wifi printer and way easier to install. The app basically sets everything up for you...the way it should be! And I love the idea of having the ink delivered when it starts running low. Overall, this was s great buy and so worth the money. Amazon was the only place I could find this printer online or in stores. It has been sold out for awhile. I’m glad I was able to snag one that wasn’t marked up in price.

Glad I ignored the negative reviews - great printer
I was initially worried about the ~10% of 1-star reviews mostly by people who said their printer could not connect to their computer. I bought this "renewed" printer and had no trouble at all getting it to connect to my computer. It prints well. The HP Smart app on Windows 10 works fine. Glad with my purchase. Hope it lasts!

I'm disappointed with the printer and I haven't been able to use my printer for at least 4-6 months
I have a problem with my printer working. When I first received the computer everything was good. Then I continue to receive emails about signing up for the insta ink and once I did sign up. My printer has not worked. I haven't been able to make contact with a person to discuss the matter. My printer is under warranty.

Great printer!
A great printer overall, i’ve printed over 300 pages and have only had one jam (I believe it was my fault ). It’s super easy to use and the app alerts you of low ink, jams, and even allows you to order ink at a cheaper rate through them.
