An Early Warning.
I am revising the first review that I did for this book. In my first review; I stated that the author was concerned about the government encroaching on our civil liberties. This book goes much deeper than that. Here is a quote from the forward: "Fear not those who are able to destroy your body, but those who can destroy body and soul".The readability of the book is not the best. It was originally published in 1957 and was revised in 1959. The revision results in lots of notes in bold at the bottom of the pages and all capital letters inserted in the original text; this breaks the flow of reading having to stop and restart after reading the notes. The numbering of the sections and chapters do not seem to have a logical pattern. The writing style varies from the logical presentation of the author's opinion to what can only be described as rants. The rants are justified. The author's purpose is to warn people that evil men intend to harm them. Then; as now, most people go about their lives never suspecting that somewhere someone is making plans that will affect their lives and families. Then; as now, people need to wake up. I enjoy a good rant myself at times. As a fellow ranter; I can say that the author's rants are of the highest quality. The author sites as evidence the intent of the evil doers a book written by Bertrand Russell in 1953. The book is The Impact of Science on Society. I have not read this book; however, I have read the well written reviews on Amazon. Here is what I learned.Russell was not a fan of the little guy; he was highly acclaimed by the elite. Then; as now, they feared that over population would consume all of the earth's resources. Russell believed that a one world government and the subjugation of humanity as the only solution. The elite obviously liked what he had to say because they gave him a Nobel Prize. This adds a foreboding authenticity to what he says. In his book; Russell quotes someone named Fichte, I am not familiar with him or where the reference is from. Here is a quote from the Russell book:"Fichte laid it down that education should aim at destroying free will, so that after the pupils have left school, they shall be incapable, throughout the rest of their lives, of thinking or acting otherwise than their school master would have wished."Two pages of the Russell book are inserted at the beginning of the book with select words hand circled (again affects readability). Select portions of these pages are repeated through out the book. Here are a couple of choice statements:"Diet, injection and injunctions will combine, from a very early age, to produce the sort of character and the sorts of behavior that the authorities consider desirabale, and any serious criticism of the powers that be will become psychologically impossible. Even if all are miserable, they will believe themselves happy because the government will tell them that they are so.""The system, one may surmise, will be something like this: except possibly in the governing aristocracy, all but five percent of the males and thirty percent of the females will be sterilized.""The laboring class would have such long hours of work and so little to eat that their desires would hardly extend beyond sleep and food."Now do you get a sense of what this book is about? The author also discusses then current events which he viewed as potentially dangerous. An example of which was the mental health laws being drafted by some states. A law proposed in California had the provision that a person could be declared insane by the testimony of a doctor and two witnesses. The person could be arrested without a warrent, held without trial, did not have the right to face his accusers, could be transported across state lines and held indefinitely until his mind was right. It makes you wonder if this law passed. This review is already getting too long. Some will not agree with the author's opinion about interracial black/white marriage or artificial insemination. Just remember that this was written in 1959.This book is fairly obscure. I only found it because it was referenced in an anti-fluoride video. Despite its faults; the book is unique. You will not find much of what the author states in writing anywhere else. I hope this review peaks your curiosity to read the book. SDSerf

Timeless
This book was originally published in the early fifties yet the information contained herein is more important now than it was at the time it was orignally published. I have been a fan of Dr. Clymer's work for quite awhile and would recommend two wonderful titles by the same author, NATURES HEALING AGENTS and DIET A KEY TO HEALTH, both are must reads considering all the poisonous processed foods we consume here in America on a daily basis, it is an open secret that the dramatic rise in cancer rates over the past fifty years are, in part, related to our horrible diets. This book is a must read for anyone interested in discovering exactly what has happened to our food and water supply, why it has been poisoned with deadly chemicals such as Sodium Fluoride, and, through their own admissions, show who is responsible for it.

Although I haven't finished reading the Book I find that the Author has a Remarkable Insight into Exposing the Unseen Enemies of Society.Well Done! That old "Saying" comes to mind: "The Devil Hateth to be Mocked."More Exposes needed !
