Review: Amazingly BEAUTIFUL deck, don't let bad reviews put you off - Do NOT let the bad reviews keep you from missing out on this deck! This is one of my most beautiful, comforting & warm oracle decks I have (this makes my 200th deck). I like a good variety of decks & if you’re looking for a deck that offers gentle, comforting guidance when you need it, this is it! It's intentionally cyclical, NOT "repetitive". The card stock is the same or better than Seasons of the Witch series. This is NOT any sort of global representation of goddesses deck. Less than half of the cards even mention anyone my name. That is not this decks purpose & people honestly should read about the decks they buy instead of giving bad reviews for things they don't understand. I've been a fan of Wendy Andrew since the 90s. I've been reading & collecting cards for 30+ years. Her art is just so beautiful, you can look at any card in this deck & feel the warmth & comfort. I'm surprised I didn't have the deck already. Also for reference, my wedding ring size is 4.5. Card stock is fine, shuffles easily, either vertical or horizontal overhand or riffle bth directions as well. The art is gorgeous! I think it is misunderstood by the low reviewers. This deck isn't about naming a particular goddess to every card; it's not a 'global goddess deck'. Like I said, less than half the cards even mention anyone by name & they're not even all goddesses. The rest don't mention any specific person at all; they say "Goddess" or mention archetypes. It's about warm, nurturing feminine figures living in relationship with nature. This deck is intentionally cyclical because the entire point of the deck is to bring warmth, comfort & a sense of nurturing, much like a mom of grandmother rocking a baby. Wendy always had seasonal cycles in her artwork, particularly Celtic themes so it's honestly not surprising to see Brigid & Rhiannon mentioned twice (they are each only mentioned twice). I think some folks are seeing images that seem alike but the details change enough to know it is not a repeating card, it is intentionally done this way. Even looking at the deck laid out in order, you can clearly see how it focuses on cycles. If you look at the cards alleged to be "repeated", they may look similar but they are different when using critical thinking skills. Sure, "Rebirth" & "Safety" can appear similar at the first hold-second glance but if you take the time to actually look at the card you're reading, you can see there are major differences that change the cards & that maybe they sound similar but again, the context is in the details. Essentially some images may look similar but they are not, the cards means all have different meanings. Just because they sound/look similar, doesn't mean we shouldn't actually "read the cards" for the actual differences. I'm wondering if the people who think this deck repeats itself in any way aren't even looking at the oracle cards but just relying on the guidebook? But the pictures you're meant to look at & read them. Review: Very warm and gentle deck with great guidebook - I love the energy of this deck. It’s so loving and embracing. Love the guidebook too and even the goddess practices are very applicable in everyday life. Card stock is glossy and bendy, great for riffle shuffling. The only down sides are: (1) I wish there were more cards, 36 is less than most oracle decks. (2) although there are goddess from different cultures, I hoped there were more diversity.

Hardly any goddesses of color
Beautiful artwork but lacks diversity. 2 Hindu goddesses and both could pass as white. Quan Yin is the only East Asian goddess. Inanna could also pass as white. Rhiannon and Brigid are both depicted more than once. Unfortunately this deck isn’t targeted at a diverse audience. Very disappointing. It seems Rockpool decks are hit or miss (Samhain Oracle also lacks diversity and that deck was made by 2 women of color. Although it seems they attempted to remedy the problem by publishing the Earthcraft Oracle which is specifically targeted at POCs). This deck will have to be returned.

Repetitive
The images on the cards are repetitive, with same or very similar poses of the goddesses. Some look to be exactly the same just with different colored cloths and hair. Also, the goddesses depicted are repetitive. There are several for Brigid. With only 36 cards it's disappointing to me to see so much repetition. Cards are decent quality though and the guidebook is good.

Eccellente

Beautiful Cards!
These Goddess Love Oracle cards by Wendy Andrew are really lovely with beautiful artwork on each card which is what drew me to these cards in the first place. I love the abundance of nature in the images. The guidebook has a coloured picture of each card which I like and the messages are inspirational and profound. I had to buy both of Wendy Andrew's oracle card decks as I really couldn't decide which one to buy! So now I have Goddess Love & Goddess Dream and they're both similarly beautiful and could even be combined into one deck! Fast delivery from this seller. Highly recommended! :)
