This works really well. With minimal moving parts, I suspect it will last far longer than my previous (short-lived) ice cream scoop did.

Lasted a year. Kids eat a lot of ice cream so it had a lot of use. It is cheaply made and the head, like others have reported, simply fell off due to the cheap weld and cheap material. Some small stainless steel screws may be able to fix this. I have only ever hand washed it so no rust problems. Also like others have said it is hollow so its hard to clean the inside when the kids just dump it in the sink and I find it later. I had no problem scooping ice cream. Because it's cheap, worked, and doesn't blister leaving who knows what in my kids ice cream, and for 10.00 I am buying again. I've spent 10 bucks on a lot worse things.**UPDATE**Lasted a year and I rated product a 3 as the head fell off. It's still a great product, just may have some minor flaws that need addressed such as the spot welds. Maybe switch connection to stainless steel screws. I like it so much I did buy another because well I have spent 10.00 on a lot worse things. Customer service kicked in and refunded the purchase cost. Excellent service and stand by their business! So it's as if I never bought the replacement. Product still needs work but I truly appreciate the great customer service!

It’s a great scooper in the short term. After a year or so, the head falls off.

This ice cream scoop didn’t last long before it bent out of shape. Easy to bend on frozen ice cream, which defeats the purpose. Should be more sturdy. Would not purchase again. Very annoying to use when trying to press the lever to push ice cream off of the scoop and into the bowl. Have to use my finger or spoon to help it. Cheaply made.

Always wanted the scoop that was made this way. Nice button press for easy removal of ice cream and rinsing. Light weight, may have preferred a more solid handle to increase the density of handling the scoop and feel of using it. It worked perfectly and is a nice addition to my drawer of utensils. Added several other scoops of varying sizes to the draw for melons, cookie portions and designs. Wish there were scoops of the same type for other sizes .

I've been using the Ice Cream Scooper for a little while now, and it's been a great addition to my kitchen. The spherical scoop head makes it so easy to get those perfectly rounded scoops of ice cream, and the trigger release works effortlessly to pop the scoop off.I also love the grip, it's comfortable and makes it easy to use, even when the ice cream is super hard. The stainless steel feels sturdy and durable, so I know it'll last for long time. Overall, I'm very pleased with the scooper, it's solid, versatile tool that I'm sure will be in my kitchen for long time! Highly Recommended!
