I have quite a few CS7’s and I’m pleased with them. I purchased this model which was slightly less expensive. I was astonished at how smooth the reels were. Zero feel of the gears, no clunking, no ticking....like silk. Seems a little overboard but I was blown away. Easily competes with the high end Diawa, Shimano or Abu Garcia. We’ll see about longevity but I know the body and rotor assembly are the same as the 7 and they have lasted. The only think this reel is missing from the higher end Cadence or others is a thread in handle. This has the shaft through the body with the thumb screw.

Totally surprised! This is a solid reel. Nice smooth action, comfortable design, worked well. Bought this as a backup to my $175 reel, but now I just use this. Slightly larger then expected so be careful when choosing size. Initially bought a cheap rod, but later switched to better one. Made a huge difference, buy a decent rod the reel is worth it.

This is the 4th spinning reel I have bought from Cadence. If you want a smooth lightweight reel I would highly recommend their reels and rods. I primarily fish panfish in small lakes and ponds and these reels and rods ( I have 4 of there rods),the reels have never disappointed or failed for the fishing that I do.This company has excellent customer service as well.Don't be afraid of buying from them, the quality of their reels is as good or better of most high priced reels on the market today. Been using this for mainly small-mouth bass and walleye The product is very smooth and the drag is perfect for its size. The drag has a very fine adjustment and tons of power. I have the 2000 model and it holds 150 yards of 15lb j braid perfect. Can't comment on the durability so far but from the initial testing I have seems like it should last a long time. I have 7 different cadence products and not one issue with any of them. They are an excellent value!

Just fished this reel (the 3000) for the first time this morning - so this is obviously just an initial impression of a brand new reel. But... it casts soooo far. Seriously. I bought this almost randomly to replace a similarly priced broken spinning reel I bought two seasons ago and this is better - by far - than the other one (also a 3000) was when it was brand new. I haven't read the online manual, but it came well greased and I think that may be the key to it's success. We'll see, but I was so impressed I had to chime in.Follow up after several weeks...Still really like the reel. It's solid. But the reviews for it - I didn't notice this when I "randomly" bought it - are weird and seem phony. For example, somebody named "Bibby" - who previously reviewed a hat: "Wearing a hat, the hair will not run around, nor will it appear on the face, it is very convenient, and it will not fall off easily, I like it very much." - had this to say about this reel: "The hook line is of good quality, strong, easy to carry, and flexible. It is the first choice for fishing enthusiasts." So yeah.And the top, most like review looks bizarrely photoshopped to me. And a lot of the other reviews are weird. But... it's been a really good reel for me so far. Just hope I don't have to join a cult to keep it.

Great reel smooth and reliable I have several reels and this reel is by far my favorite

So far i love it. I think the title says it all. I loaded it with 15lb of braid and about a 5ft bumper of 6lb floro and it has been deadly so far. G2G!

This reel does everything I expect a reel to do; If you spin the handle, there is little vibration. The drag is smooth. It's got a nice thick bail wire( a personal favorite of mine) and the bail trips easily. The line lays flat on the spool and it casts well. I have more expensive reels but this Cadence Elate does everything they do for a lot less $.
