I bought these since they are a small diameter 2.5 inch and have a nice bevel and narrower beam to reduce the glare. I paired them with a dimmer and they work well. They provide nice task lighting for the kitchen shining directly down on my counter space without shining light throughout the room. I can’t comment on longevity since they are only two weeks old, but I was told by contractor that they were a pain to install given the small hole to fish wires through and get your hand up in the ceiling. They look terrific once installed.

Beautiful light. Installed several of these in a bathroom remodel. The narrow-ish beam is useful, they deliver light to the surface while somewhat concealing the source (you’ll get a little glare when close). The springs are extremely strong, so repeated removals can damage drywall, but you will get a nice tight seal. Dimming works perfectly with Lutron TRIAC, also tested with an ELV with no issue.

Hard to wire. Just not much room in cans. Cans also come apart. Suggest wrapping a couple passes of electrical tape. Have not used yet still installing.Update - these are now installed. They look great and work great. I connected them on a dimmer and they do not hum or flicker. I am very pleased. 5 star for appearance and functionLEDs never seem to last as long as promised so I am less than 100% confident in longevity. I needed 4 and they sold them as six, am happy to have a couple extra. Will see how it goes. For the cost these are not a huge risk, though I did leave a little extra slack in the wiring for convenience if I ever need to pull these out and replace them

There are a lot of cheaper options, but torchstar is worth the extra bit of money. The dimming is fantastic and smooth—no flickering, no cutout. The color temperature and quality are much better than alternatives. Personally I like a recessed light (as opposed to the flush puck lights) and these blend into the ceiling when turned off. The housing is sealed and has a gasket but I still used a recessed light cover to ensure zero air leaks and to keep the housing temperature lower. I even bought a spare set of these so I will never have to worry about trying to match the same light if one burns out. The only negative is that at full brightness the housings run a little warm, which worries me a little about longevity. I run them at half brightness and they are barely warmer than room temperature.

Reno still in progress: Very happy with purchase. Provides great light, and smaller diameter helps make my small bathrooms appear larger than they are.

The delivery was quick once I placed the order. The lights are brighter than I thought they would be, so I will add a dimmer to the light switch. I was impressed with the packaging and the overall quality of the construction looks great. Will install them this weekend.

I had these installed in my office as a perimeter lighting spaced 18'' apart and 18'' from the walls. The purpose of these lights was to brighten up my walls to highlight an accent wall along with whatever else I had planned to showcase. I'm really impressed with the amount of light that they give off. They also work well with the correct dimmer.Fast forward 12 months and I had a few that started flickering and eventually went out all together. For the amount of time I use these lights they should've lasted far longer. I plan on replacing the few that stopped working . Overall i really like the size of these lights and the amount of light they give off..

Love these, easy to install, light quality and dimming is great (even with Lutron Homeworks). Great economical way to get the look of the more expensive 2" LED recessed lights. Very happy!
