Good Pads

Theses pads worked well for me in buffing and sanding. The rod is metal and strong and the circular part is made of plastic, unlike others I own which are foam. They work well and are easy to install and remove. The price is about right for what you get. I depend on honesty in other peoples's reviews, and these statements about the pad are my honest opinion.

Great for using foam pads with a drill.

I am buffing aluminum engine parts and use a foam pad for final polishing. This works great in a cordless drill with 3" foam pads attached and the velcro is really strong. Overall a good way to use foam pads in a drill. Really nice quality.

made of hard plastic

I bought this mandrel thinking it would flex a little while sanding but the material is very stiff and not at all flexible.If you where going to sand something very flat it would be good but for me it was too stiff.

Worked sometimes...

I had a lot of difficulty keeping the pads on while sanding. It was definitely a PTA. Grey pads worked better than red
