Perfect travel blender
I was kind of surprised at how well this blender works, since it's a small machine but I blend a smoothie with ice in it every morning and it works perfectly. It's also super easy to clean.

Its a good personal use blender
The bad things about it, is that its somewhat not practical to be unscrewing the blades and that part seems like it could easily get lost, though it makes sense that it needs to be cleaned per use so coming as a lid is kinda good. Now another bad thing is that the lid hole where you drink out of tends to create pressure when you suck on it to drink but almost nothing comes out, you need to lift it a bit so the liquid to come out which would be better if it had a secondary hole so it releases pressure, also the hole does a weird whistle sound which could call for attention to others. Not good that the bottle could melt if used with hot liquid but better then glass which my previous shattered. The blades and bottle replacements are a good option though they are almost full price, a bit too expensive. It is well designed and feels of good quality so thats a plus. The lid blade i tend to place it in the actual motor unit and seems scary to push of it and have the possibility to activate if there was a baby or kid around but actually it has a safety feature where the bottle itself has 3 push buttons that press on the motor unit to activate so thats good, still for extra measure i placed the blade lid sideways or upside down

My son uses this daily
My son uses this every day. I thought it would be good because you could drink out the blender piece. It's amazing how well it blends his smoothies, and the cleanup makes it even better. You put the stuff in and then turn it upside down with the blades in place and there you have it, usually in less than a minute. Cleanup is even easier. Put water in it and then a couple drops of soap. Turn it over and blend the soap cleans up the blender. dump that out, put water in it blend that. Now you have rinsed it. Amazing blender for personal use.

Smooth Operator
UPDATE: I've had this for almost 2 years now, using it 3-4 times per week for a breakfast smoothie. I've had no issues with it at all, however I thought I'd try something with more power in case I wanted to make a frozen drink, so I decided to order a Ninja BN301 Nutriblender for $60. Here are the differences:This blender is 300w, the Ninja is 600wThis blender makes a smoothie in 15-20 seconds, the Ninja makes a smoothie in 15-20 seconds. This blender's blades aren't as sharp at the Ninja blade, but the difference in the end product is barely noticeable. This blender has the threads for screwing on the cutter blades and cap on the outside, like a normal jar. The Ninja has the threads on the inside, causing them to get filled with smoothie when removing the cutting blades and attaching the pour or storage cap. Why would they design it that way?The one and only improvement of the Ninja over this blender is the hole size of the pour spout is about three times larger.I'm sending the Ninja BN301 back.I have a big Cuisinart blender which I rarely use because it's too much of a hassle for most of my needs.I was going to purchase the Hamilton Beach personal blender, but with 175 watts, it seemed a bit too light duty. This unit with 300 watts seemed a bit more appropriate.First, let me state that I own the above big blender, a Cuisinart food processor and a Cuisinart immersion blender. I bought the LaReveuse Smoothies Blender just for that purpose, smoothies.Secondly, let me address some comments made by other users:1. Tab(s) breaking off. The jar has three tabs (lugs) that allow the jar to lock in place on the motor base. I have no idea how you break one of these off. Really, given the stoutness of the material and the location of the lugs, I really can't fathom how you could break one off. Even if you did break one or more tabs off, they sell replacement jars, lids and blades on Amazon.2. To address the comment of another reviewer, the locking tabs (lugs) not only lock the jar into place, they are part of the "switch" for the motor. The motor base does not have a visible switch. Align the locking tabs (lugs) with the slots on the motor base and push down for momentary on. Ease up on the pressure and the ...motor turns off. If you want the motor to stay on (no more than 1 minute per the manufacturer), simply push down, give the jar a slight clockwise turn and Voila, it stays on. To turn of, simply turn the jar a slight turn counter clockwise. So if you don't want the motor turning on when you plug the unit in place, don't lock the jar on the motor. Pretty simple.3. Addressing the comment that the jar is too flexible. Really? ...REALLY? No it isn't as firm as a glass jar (won't break like glass either), but it isn't a plastic bag either. It has a SLIGHT flex if you really squeeze it. If you handle it like I think most people will, you won't notice any flex at all.Okay, enough of all that, how well does it work? As said, I bought this to make smoothies. My typical smoothie consists of something like the following: 1 peach (skin on), 1/2 banana, big handful of blueberries, 1 individual serving cup (5.3 oz) of yogurt (plain or some fruit flavored) and maybe 1/4 to 1/3 cup of low-fat milk. Toss all that in, screw on the blade cap, set the jar on the motor base and gently press down. I pulse it a few times (2-3 seconds per pulse, just like you would a full size blender), then I leave it on for about 10-15 seconds. DONE!That's it, and for 20 bucks, how could anyone possibly complain?

It is easy to use.
I made my first drink and it was so easy and tasted good. I thought there would be a recipe book with it. Luckily i knew how to make drinks.

Go with a different blender
This things motor died after about 10 uses. And the clip from the bottle snapped off. This thing sucks.Do not buy this POS product. Return window ended just a month before the motor died out, cheap plastic, the clip broke.Waste of money. Very frustrating

Was great for a while but it broke today.
Overall this has been a great little blender. I never had any issues with it and the blending was always smooth. I used mostly for protein shakes and frozen fruit, but it was defeated today by a frozen banana. The price was good and it lasted 1.5 years so I am not too burnt up about it but I will probably get a different brand for the next one.

Amazing!!!
I do smoothies in my mixer and it is AMAZING! The best blender for smoothies. I had the big model and moved away without bringING mine because to heavy. Ordered this one on Amazon and highly recommend it. Small and performing! All fruits greetS mixed, sometimes need a little shake but besides that it is perfect! No need for the big and expensive model!

NOT dishwasher-safe, but great in other ways
It was previously advertised as “dishwasher safe” on Amazon, (contrary to their website) but the description now seems to have been updated to reflect the truth that the plastic bottle is not dishwasher-safe. So that also means no pouring hot liquids in, because any heat will melt the bottle, rendering it useless. Other than that, it cuts through big chunks of ice cubes AND hard frozen fruits. The lock-in system is great: you push down, twist it slightly to lock, hands-free mixing :) Contrary to other big powerful “family” blenders, it is so easy to clean and does not accumulate any mold or such (I do wash the razor cap after every use), including the plastic suction ring which is sealed into the razor cap. It takes so little space on my counter and does everything for me. Love it, and for that price!!!
