Probably the most versatile map I've ever owned since it can be used for many things beside just finding your way. The quality is OK -- some of the green dye had already slightly colored the white border/fringe area when it arrived. No big deal for using it as a general kanga, (Google uses for a Kanga) but I had hoped to be able to use this as a wall-hanging as well. Doesn't look quite up to snuff for that.

I bought 5 of these for my girls and myself to use at the beach. They were a huge hit--not only were they big enough to lie down on BUT when it got breezy we used them to wrap up in. They turned out to be very cozy. PLUS, people who were walking past where we had laid the beach blanket maps of the world wanted to know where we got them. Big conversation piece as well as practical. They wash well too.

I wanted a world map blanket to go on the end of my son's bed because I was doing a travel theme in his bedroom. The bold colors are perfect and it's a thin cotton so he won't be pulling it off the bed to cover up with on the couch. I couldn't imagine using it as a beach towel as a previous reviewer stated; I can't see it being very absorbent.

But they are not as thick as the other reviewers would seem to suggest. If you live someplace hot/warm these are probably pretty good...

Beautiful. I already used it at the beach. It's big, so you don't get sand all over. And you always have some entertainment. Very creative. Comfortable too.
