The two reasons I am keeping this are:- It will work fine holding my small portable monitor, and I don't need to set up/tear down frequently.- I got it as an Amazon Warehouse deal for a discount.Unfortunately, I can't recommend this for a its intended use, which is to support a laptop.The bottom hinge was almost impossible to open - I'm a guy, and I really had to go gorilla on it - a brief glance at the instruction sheet indicates that this is "normal", and that some force is required to open this up. So FORGET about using this as something you can throw in a backpack or set up and tear down on a regular basis.The top hinge, the part that holds the bracket that holds your laptop was much looser - so loose in fact that if I put ANY laptop on it, it would have failed to hold it. They do include a set of allen wrenches, so I was able to tighten the top hinge decently enough to hold my lightweight monitor with confidence. Yeah, you could also loosen that lower hinge, but the whole setup seems dubious to use with a laptop of any weight.In the end, I think this was just poor design - it's made out of metal, the shelf lip is deep and padded, and it looks nice, but the hinging system was just poorly implemented. If you want a metal laptop stand, there are better choices out there.

In the time of covid-19 I have been working from home all the time, my neck was hurting because of a poor ergonomic setup I needed to raise my laptop screen to avoid looking down all the time. This was perfect for my dual monitor setup it is super sturdy and well built, solid aluminum construction and looks super slick. I would recommend this to anyone that is using their laptop as a second screen, you will not regret it!

Love this stand! We are actually using it with our iPad and it works perfectly, but would be great for a laptop as well. We are doing remote learning for school and this is going to be so nice to have since we will be doing lots of Zoom calls and assignments on the tablet. It is somewhat hard to adjust but I find that to be a good feature, it is incredibly sturdy and no chance of the arm slipping due to the weight of the device. I did very slightly adjust the bolts with the allen wrench that came with it and it's perfect now. I looked into a lot of different laptop/tablet stands and am so glad we got this one!

I purchased this for a friend of mine who now, like all of us, is working from home. Personally, I'm not the strongest person on earth and the last laptop stand I bought required my body builder friend to open it to its tallest setting... not good.This one is stable, but doesnt require Hulk to change the settings. Very clean, shiny metal, and came in nice packaging.5/5! I'll be purchasing another for myself.

I love this stand. I have Dell laptop with a curved edge and getting a laptop stand to actually grip the edge of it in front was so hard. I love this one. Very stiff and well built and those front grips really do a great job. Plus the fan vent that cools the laptop is left exposed so that it can run without overheating. Super piece of design. Love the flexibility but superb solid feel. Highly recommend! Bravo Vansky!!

This laptop stand has been incredibly useful the past months as I have participated in and led many Zoom meetings. It places my laptop at exactly the correct height at my desk so that I can look directly into the camera and see all participants easily. Now my spouse wants one of her own!Hint: If you purchase this item, be sure to keep the provided Allen wrenches handy. Every once in a while it is necessary to tighten the screws. It's easy to do and immediately corrects any undo wobbling.

I've lost track of how many laptop stands I've had over the years, but most of them suffered from either having too few ways to adjust height & angle, were wobbly, and/or wouldn't hold the position I wanted. This one solves all those shortcomings. Yes, as the instructions clearly state, it takes a bit of muscle to move it into position. If it was made of plastic, that would be bad, but this is sturdy metal so just use firm, steady pressure and you'll be fine.

Es muy estable, puro metal a la altura y angulo que necesites. Es muy comodo para usar un teclado. La lap mide 15.6 pulgadas y cabe perfecto. Cuesta trabajo abrirlo pero eso hace que no se baje. Trae llaves para ajustarlo cuando se afloje. No se porque salen acostada las fotos. Perdón.
