My old one failed as the key would no longer turn. Replaced the defective one with this one. Works great. Saved me a huge chunk of money vs the stealership. Youtube has good videos on how to do this.

Works on 2009 VW Rabbit. Much more affordable than OEM. Useful tip is that replacement bolts sold by the dealership did not match the thread of the factory bolts. However, the factory bolts do work on the replacement part. So it’s an issue with the replacement bolts. We luckily found other bolts that worked great.

When i unboxed this part, it looks almost exactly the same as oem. You need to swapped the ignition switch harness to the new one and I would recommend lubricating the assembly before installing as my original oem part failed from metal wear. Otherwise it fits perfectly and costs way less than a new OEM VW replacement.

Received the affordable item just in time for the replacement. Looks and operates exactly like the OEM. Would be 5 stars if it included replacement mounting bolts. The original bolts are pretty much unusable unless you get very creative.

Dealer wanted almost 300 and no parts store could even order it. Worked as it should. Just be careful of the orientation of the key when you put it in. My car wouldn’t start at first. Tons of good videos on YouTube to so how to change this. If I had to do another one I bet I could do it in less than 20 minutes.

Works like a charm at a fraction of the price Volkswagen wanted. Very smooth when turning the key. Unfortunate I had to replace this part but thankful I found this part for the reasonable price.

The switch has been installed for several weeks now, and is still working as it should. Great value for the money.
