This is designed for the 7mm and 9mm 2.5" drives that are 2TB or smaller. However, I can admit that without the outter case on (like John said) it will work with 12mm drives. I currently have 2x 5TB Seagates 12mm drives in mine. You just have to live with the drives showing. As for String Theory's answer, putting Firecuda SSHD's is a good idea only if you are using them as single drives or Raid 1. Raid 0 eliminates the use of the SSD caching system like indicated over on the Seagate website. **Q: How many GB does it have?** A: To make sure what the topic is here, my comments are just about the Vantec enclosure and not about whatever drive + enclosure Vantec may sell. My drive, for what it's worth, though, and it doesn't matter, was a 225 GB HP drive pulled out of motherboard-fried HP laptop. Connected them to my smart TV, worked first-time! I'd worried about if they needed a power supply. It came with a US style 2 prong mains plug. Useless in the UK, I'd need an adaptor. But the tv's USB socket is powered so no need for an external power supply after all. Great! Super! This cheap setup replaces a non-functioning Β£200 media box connected to my TV. Very happy customer.
