I bought this vest as a present for my boyfriend. The vest itself is made of nice quality material, and it is actually thicker than I initially expected. It really looks like a good, heavy duty vest. The outside pockets are nice and deep, and the zipper for the detachable hood is very discreet. It's tucked away nicely so the hood and vest look like one nice, uniform piece. I didn't realize the vest came with an inside pocket when I ordered it, which was a pleasant surprise.My boyfriend is typically a size large when it comes to shirts, but I made sure to order an extra large because I knew he would want the vest to be a little looser. I'm glad I went with the extra large because it was the exact fit we were wanting. Also, you might want to consider that extra size up if you're planning on wearing sweaters/thicker shirts underneath. Going with the extra large instead of the large is really going to allow for that thicker layer of clothing as it gets colder here.Overall, very impressed with this purchase! My boyfriend loved the vest. It was exactly what he was wanting, and he put the vest on immediately after I gave it to him and proceeded to wear it for the rest of the night. If you're looking for a nice quality vest, I would definitely recommend purchasing this one.

The quality of the material and workmanship looks good. The weight and expected warmth relative to it, not heavy but substantial, appears to be good for cold to very cold but not frigid temps. The sizing is the gotcha. Based on other reviews I ordered what I thought would be close to snug but not tight around the waist (a Large) though I would normally get a medium. This seems to be fine in length ending about mid hip/butt. It tapers in, as suggested by others, in the lower chest to waist giving me the close but not snug fit. The gotcha is that the arm openings would be great for Magilla Gorilla but alas not so much for a person with lanky build like myself. My fear is that stepping down a size to medium would make it too snug. My solution will be to use as is with perhaps closing (sewing up) the under arm area 1.5>2". This is easier and IMO safer than moving down a size and having it too tight especially if layering under it.

I have bought 4 of these vests in the last month. First I bought one for my 15 yr old son in blue. He went on and on about how warm and comfortable it was. I couldn’t believe the quality for the price. So my 17yr old wanted one in a diff color, so I bought him the black. He loved it too, then my husband wanted it because he gets cold working outside all day, so I ended up getting him one in black and he loved it so much he wanted the blue one also. Big hit in our house!

Looks and feels great and nice and warm. It’s a little snug around the chest and waist. I wear an XL and this is running a little small. Maybe ok if no beer belly! Zipper is heavy duty and is not smooth zipping up or down. Hood fits ok but lower sides could be sewn closer to collar - sort of sticks out. Tie a knot in the draw string so it doesn’t get pulled in around. Pockets are deep to keep hands warm but wished the pockets were lined like the inside material. Never was crazy about nylon lined pockets. Overall, happy with purchase and can recommend it.

I was reading everyone's reviews and got excited when i saw the general "it runs too small, order a size larger" I like tight fitting clothes and have been having issues all through the holidays with ordering small and xtra small clothing, and it being large on me upon arrival. so I was excited to finally get something that might fit me tightly. well, I ordered the smallest size I could, being that I am 5'6'' and 140 pounds. I like jackets and vests that that come to just below my waist. the small was much longer than I like any vestlike article of clothing. it also was to wide for my body type. I'm an athlete and it looks like i'm wearing a size or so too big. so I am incredibly confused that other customers say to order a size up, when I needed it to be another size or two smaller than the small. I keep having this problem. the "smalls" and "xtra smalls" im getting are sometimes supposed to be medium in US sizes, but none of the medium or small clothes i have from here are ever that big. maybe there is a large inconsistency when it comes to sizing clothing, but I feel the small of this item would have fit me if I were about 30 pounds heavier and 4 inches taller perhaps? the quality of the structure and make seemed well-made at least. so if you can find a size that fits your liking, it seems like it would be comfortable.

I had a favorite vest that got burned by an ember at a bonfire, and I have wanted another great vest ever since. I found it in this vest. I love everything about it. The hood is well made and thick. The zipper is heavy duty. The pockets zip to keep my phone safe. It fits like a glove. I am 6' 2" and 205 athletic body (flat stomach, large chest) and a Large fits me snug, which is what I like.I highly recommend this product.

Okay so I ordered 3 of these. 2 black ones and one grey one. I only receieved one black and one grey. I hope my other one is coming soon, even though it says that it arrived already. The material is really soft, super comfy and soft. Feels like the original cotton material. Great for that winter or fall season. I ordered these for Christmas gifts. I hope they do fit the people I ordered them for. If not, good thing I can return and exchange them.

I enjoyed this on a golf field and cover my head too. It keeps me nice and warm.

Nice and warm. Very poor stitching. The stitching coming apart after one day’s use especially the inside of the pockets.
