Hidden Canyon Hunter 15017-1 Fixed Blade Hunting Knife with Orange G10 Handle (15017-1)

I bought this as a new choice for skinning game. This is my fourth Benchmade and I have been extremely impressed with all of them! The fit, quality and edge retention is amazing! I hesitated to spend the money on a quality knife for YEARS and I now regret that! My go-to skinner for the last 5ish years has been the Benchmade Altitude that I bought as a skinner because of its compact size and light weight. I was completely sold on Benchmade when I skinned 5 deer before having to resharpen that blade!!! I still have that and two of the Meat Crafter knives as well (one is a kitchen knife, the other is a field knife) but I do prefer a deeper belly on a skinning knife, so I decided I'd try this one. I haven't had a chance to use it yet as hunting season is still a few months out, but it feels even better in my hand than the Altitude, so I'm very excited to put it to work!

This knife will all you need... Like all Benchmade products, it is pure quality. Holds an edge and a pleasure to carry. Just wish it had a kydex sheath with it.

I purchased the orange trimmed G10 with Kydex sheath. This is an excellent compact fixed blade knife, it’s smaller than I thought it would be but that’s a good thing. Fit, finish and blade steel are excellent. This would be a great every day carry knife and would excel at skinning, caping and meat processing. The Kydex sheath could fit in a pocket. I attached a Kydex clip, widely available which attached to the sheath side holes , and the sheath slot, making fitment easy., it can be carried inside the wait band, I purchased the brown leather sheath directly from the manufacturer for $35 it fits perfectly and is a great value at that price

This is an awesome blade that is perfect for daily carry. A bit on the small side but if you like carrying a fixed blade, it’s a perfect size. The sheath is full grain real leather, not that pleather junk. You can never go wrong with a Benchmade, quality and durability. Lifetime sharpening when you send it in. Cannot say enough good things about this knife.

This is a knife that can be passed down to my son and hopefully to his son when the time comes. Great quality perfectly balanced. Razor sharp out of the box.

Awesome knife!!!! Great for field dressing elk and deer. Please be careful. The knives are so sharp that I sliced my finger down to the bone.

Solid knife but quality is what you would and can expect from a benchmade knife. If you are looking for a fixed blade knife look no further you can't go wrong with this one. Solid edge and I knife I can't put down.

I use and abuse this knife every day, I’ve skinned a moose, I’ve cut airlines on my semi, I’ve scraped gasket surfaces on the side of the road, and loosened and tightened hose clamps and so much more! The leather sheath seems to be really holding up getting dragged around in the dirt and on cement floors! I will certainly be purchasing again just not for a very long time because it’s that good of a knife!

Through tang that is nice and thick Handle is comfortable and fits my large hands Blade as expected is super sharp out of the box. I dislike the kydex sheath but it does hold the blade well.

Love this knife! Fits so well in hand and is beautiful to looks at. Very high quality. Only dislike is the sheath, something at this price should come with a more adaptable sheath IMO.

Great little knife, smaller than expected but sharp, light and ergonomic. Recommend.
