Installation is easy - just pop off the white part that comes installed on the LSM/LTM device and pop on the colored piece - no tools required. Z-wave components have limited variety availability compared to traditional non-automation devices and very few products are available in colors other than white, almond or ivory. The color change kit is a great idea that overcomes the color issue at a reasonable cost (at least considering the cost of z-wave devices).
