The sharpening stone works well and did exactly what I needed it to do, take my sad, dull knives and remind them they were supposed to cut things, not politely bruise tomatoes. The two sides are useful, with the 400 grit helping with the rougher work and the 1000 grit giving the edge a nicer finish. It is simple to use, feels solid, and made a noticeable difference after sharpening. There is a little technique involved, but that is true of any whetstone. Once I got going, it worked great and gave me much better results than pretending my dull knives were “still fine.” Also the included base has great grip and kept it from moving. Five stars. My knives are sharper, my prep work is easier, and my tomatoes are no longer being emotionally damaged.

Nicely packaged sharpening stone that comes with a little sharpening guide booklet. As one reviewer mentioned, nice box to store it in. Rubber base included works great. By the second day, alot of stone came off when sharpening on the 400# side. The 1000# side seems to hold up much better. Adequate for my needs.

This stone is perfect for honing your knives whether they be for hunting , cooking , etc. It's a great product. Worth the cost.

Easy to use, works well, and seems like it will last a long time. I was at my wit's end about sharpening my knives as I did not want to get a new set. In about 20 minutes I had four knives (two chef's knives, a utility knife, and a paring knife) sharpened and polished. Very pleased!
