From a distance these look like genuine suede. They buckle securely into place and look legit. However, these are NOT leather and won't behave like leather. They are stiff out of the package so will take getting used to wearing them. You should be able to gently "break them in" if your are patient enough to flex and bend gradually, but bend them too much and the surface is likely to crack. For the money they are a solid uniform piece to add to your RenFair ensemble. If you plan on attending multiple events where bracers would be worn you might be better off splurging for real leather as the limited flexibility of these may end up hurting the back of your hand/wrists after extended use...plus they don't breath like real leather does.

Great quality for price. Mine had a dent in one rivet cap and a small blemish on the edge of one of the pleather pieces, but I'm going to be foam fighting in them so no big deal to me. These are thick enough to count as leather armor(but not strong leather armor) in Amtgard, but may be too thin for other orgs. Not for SCA.

I think there are 2 downsides to these gauntlets: For those who don't know how to string the gauntlets, there's no diagram provided to help you. The strings are easy to fray at the end after getting them through a couple holes, so it's not the highest quality ends for the strings, but don't let that deter you from buying. It looks exactly like the design I chose, the craftsmanship is very well done, and with it being faux leather, they did great with the dye job and making it look genuine.

They are a bit stiff, I tied them around some water bottles for a few before wearing to they would be more comfortable. If you have thin forearms they might be big. My wrists are around 8” and I had it tight to the second to last hole on the belt clip. they roll around a bit, but pretty good quality for the prize, perfect for a costume.

The gauntlets themselves look nice! The pattern is detailed and the quality is great for the price. The only downside is that the cords that came with them aren’t the ones in the photos and the direction of the scales is flipped on one of the sleeves. The cords that came with them were more like shoe laces and had fraying at the tips which made it harder to lace. Hence, the 3 stars.

These bracers are good for their $25 price, and while they are likely not made of real leather, they are still pretty cool-looking.Color: I picked the “dragon” color and they are reddish-black. The color looks very cool in-person.Sizing: I am a medium-sized woman and the bracers were slightly too big for me. Even tightening them to the maximum, they were slightly loose.Material: These bracers do NOT appear to be made of real leather, contrary to the description. I own a pair of real leather bracers and they are nothing like this material. If this is leather, it must be a very cheap quality leather. These bracers are thin and smell like a plastic/leather mix. I would ONLY use this for costume purposes and not as serious protective wear.At this price, I didn’t expect it to be real leather anyway. I just wanted a cool addition to my renaissance outfit, and this did the job!

I've been burned by other medieval/renaissance type products that show other higher quality items but I was very happy that the Brown HZMAN bracers I bought matched the pictures and description exactly; They are budget well constructed faux leather bracers.This is definitely a brand I'm going to keep in mind if I need other reenactor type stuff, the quality of their product combined with the Prime return policy makes this an excellent candidate for entry level costumers and reenactors.

This are adjustable but the way they fit my arms makes it very clear they are meant for broader forearms. Even though, after adjusting them and bending them they were very nice and authentic looking. If you want to be The Witcher or Hawkeye for Halloween this is a great add on to your costume

El producto llego bien empaquetado y sin problemas, la verdad no tenia mucha fe con esta compra pero me "urgia" conseguir piezas para un disfraz de vikingo para un evento medieval (Lo se, quien lo diria, comprar esta tipo de productos para un disfraz vikingo/medieval, debio ser toda una sorpresa)Las 2 piezas estaba bien, algo rigidas debido al tipo de material, el diseño de los dragones esta muy bien, los colores son algo vividos y la verdad es que por el precio estaba mas que satisfecho.Ahora, si quede tan satisfecho, ¿Porqué solo 3 estresllas? el caso es que al termino de mi evento, procedi a cambiarme y guardar las prendas y accesorios usados para el disfraz con mucho cuidado, no queria que lo que tanto tiempo me costo decidir por comprar y armar mi conjunto se fuese a romper o percudir, etc.Para mi mala suerte 2 meses despues asisti a otro evento y al momento de proceder a vestirme, me percate de que apenas doble las tiras donde se ajustan las muñecas se rompieron en ambas piezas la primer y segunda tira de ajuste (tiene 3), y al ser "cuero" no se pudieron pegar ya que por la naturaleza de la funcion que tienen, al momento de generar la mas minima fuerza de "estiramiento" se rompen.Esto me desanimo bastante ya que si bien se puede reparar con algun zapatero donde tenga el tipo de material o incluso cambiarlo por otro tipo de material no quita el que pensar que solo duro 1 puesta antes de romperse algo.Conclusion; El diseño y material estan pefectos por su precio, incluso comparandolos con muchos de los que venden en los mismos eventos medievales, por precio/calidad (como un Xiaomi) son muy buenas piezas, solo es ese detalle de las tiras que se ajustan en los broches, que lo hagan de otro material o mejoren de alguna formal la calidad para evitar que con el menor "dobles" se rompa y tenga uno que buscar como solucionar el problema o deshecharlos (cada quien decide con sus cosas que hace con ellas).

Excellent item, just be careful advertised as 2 but actually only 1

Very thin, has an odor that goes away after a week. I was hoping for something thicker. The leather draw cords were not included as expected, and replaced with cheap string.They work though.If you are an average size man, these are going to be far too small for you.
