Solid and Simple
When a phone by your bedside just won't do, this stylish alarm clock is just right. Most "travel clocks" have umpteen fragile bits of plastic to crack off. This clock is solid, simple to set, easy to read, but not obnoxiously lit during the night. Sound is fine and battery life has been fine so far. No complaints. We keep it in a jewelry pouch when packed for travel to prevent scratching or activating.

Am I in love with this new alarm clock? UHHH YEAH I AM
You know what happens when your alarm clock dies, right? It doesn’t go off and your entire day pretty much goes down the toilet. For a multitude of years, I relied solely on a travel alarm clock from a company that had a fantastic catalog and a brick and mortar store that we will call ‘Bookstone’. Perhaps you’ve heard of it? :-)I’m not a tech gadget wizard. I don’t like to rely on my phone for absolutely everything. Also, our power is prone to rolling blackouts so a battery operated clock is good. My old travel alarm clock worked well for me for many years. Until one day it didn’t. I was so sad. I almost buried that sucker in the backyard and sang a little song for it.I bought this one based off of great Amazon reviews and I am so pleased. Just wow! Popped in a battery, entered the time/alarm time and went to bed. It just works! The beep sound is enough to wake you up, but not enough to make you wanna throw the thing out the window. Wahoo! I told my husband that I wanted to buy another one just in case, you know?He laughed at me. Perhaps I’m still feeling shell shock for ‘Boookstone’ going out of business. That’s probably it…Buy this teeny tiny alarm clock. You know you’re going to need it.

Would have written a 5 star review until it stopped working when it fell from the night table
I purchased this clock to use as an alarm clock for my travels. This review reflects its use on just trip because it stopped working on that trip when it fell probably 20" (50 cm) from the night table.Has a clear, easy to see display. Note the display is a not hard plastic and not glass. The display illuminates well when you touch the top.Setting the time and alarm time is easy, although if you need to shift between a morning alarm and afternoon alarm on a daily basis, this can be a bit tedious -- you have to scroll at a constant pace. Would be great if it jumped 30 minutes or 15 minutes or even 5 minutes when you held down the plus or minus button to reduce the time required to adjust the alarm time. The beep is audible and pleasant, and gets faster if you down turn off the alarm right away.Unfortunately, when I reached over to turn it off one morning, it fell from the night table. This is something that is bound to happen at some time when you have a travel alarm clock, and it happened for me on this first trip. This reflects what is, in my opinion, the relatively cheap plastic construction. Not what I would have expected from the Braun of yesteryear, but I suppose what reflects in today's products. There was no way to troubleshoot or resolve the issue -- the display showed nothing. I tried replacing the battery to see if that may be a factor, but it didn't work with a new battery. Fortunately, I picked up a Casio G-Shock watch for the trip that had a vibrating alarm. Will be looking for a better solution for my future travels.

Simple. Small. Easy. Low key. Not bright.
Simply. Small. Easy. Low key. Perfect. I don't like bright clocks, a small tap on the top and it lights up enough to read it.

Clock face does not light up automatically
Very small clock which is good for travel. I have purchased Braun products in the past and they were well made, worked properly, etc. I was a little disappointed with this one. There are no instructions included. you have to go to the website but unfortunately there is no way to find the instructions there. It was not too difficult to figure it how however. But the clock face is not light up. You have to actually touch to top of the clock to get it to light. That means that you can not tell the time from across the room. Not particularly convenient. it is a nice looking clock though.

Perfect night clock when you don’t want light until you touch it.
Love it. I was looking for a small clock that was dark until you touched it. This one is perfect. It is small and compact. You barely have to touch it. It comes on for just a few seconds. It’s just perfect -well made and stylish if I could give it 10 stars I would.

Crucial design flaws. Should be the best.....isn't.
This alarm clock should be the one. Braun has enough money and designers to do it right.... But they didn't. I much prefer a physical alarm clock to my phone and am willing to carry one even as a one bag nomad. Here are my issues.1. The alarm isn't loud enough. I work offshore and travel frequently. This alarm won't wake someone who is jetlagged, hungover, or a heavy sleeper. If you're all three, forget it. If the place your sleeping has other noise...even worse.2. The snooze light button is NOT a clicky-pressy button. It responds to very light finger contact. I like to snooze holding the clock sometimes to kill the alarm. This won't work. Any contact shuts the alarm off.3. The time/alarm set switch is a three position switch. It must be manually recentered for the alarm to work. If you set the alarm, realize the time is off and set that, leave the switch on the time setting, the alarm doesn't ring.It needs a bigger speaker!Other thoughts:The alarm on switch with color coding is nice. The dark display and light are nice. The build quality is fine. The size is greatI bought the Seiko sq321k instead which is only available in Japan. It's better in every way except being larger and heavier and has two alarms with separate switches. It has the same alarm tone as my home clock and uses orange light for the clock face.https://www.amazon.co.jp/Seiko-SQ321K-Alarm-Digital-inches/dp/B09V18PGX8/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?crid=3UCY39GWUK7UJ&keywords=seiko+alarm&qid=1701399968&sprefix=seiko+alarm%2Caps%2C497&sr=8-5
