I rarely write reviews because they are time consuming, and to be honest I'm really tired and lazy at the end of the day, but I had to jump on here and write a review because this company has very much earned it. Initially, I was really hesitant to order this. I had the same exact year and model and LOVED my old laptop, but alas, it was not meant to be. One night of FaceTiming with a long distance friend and three glasses of rosé paired with...I don't know, apparently I like to move my hands a lot when I'm excited? Weird, I know...and my laptop got to experience the wine, but not in a good way, and it fried. Now, I'm a Mac girl through and through. Call me trendy, extra, basic, but come on. Have you seen the screens on these things? GORGEOUS. So I wasn't going to but a middle of the road laptop. I had finished college, and I have a desktop in my office for work, so I figured I could bypass a laptop. Nope. Being salaried and a preschool director with a killer new job, I'm going to need a laptop to work from home on weekends. But we all know Apple is not budget friendly. You want a new Apple product? Cool, we're gonna need you to take out a second mortgage or work four jobs for approximately ten years. Yeah, no thanks. After window shopping, I found this beauty. Less than four hundred dollars? Excellent condition? Add to cart. Once I ordered, I realized I didn't check reviews, so off I went, and found they were very mixed. I contemplated cancelling the order, but then figured it was already put through and charged, so I might as well risk it. I am so glad I did. When it arrived, my husband immediately charged it. I got home and saw it sitting on our kitchen island in all its glory. Beautiful color, zero keyboard deficiencies, screen with zero flaws. There is a chip on the bottom right corner of the shell which is very small. You can't notice it unless you are studying it like you're back in high school biology. Installed a case, and you can barely remember it's there. So far, so good. I turned it on very hesitantly, worried that it would have a flaw on the screen, freeze, have a fan that sounded like a turbo jet, any amount of things. Nope. It runs better than my previous one. Setup was simple, my account is connected, runs like a marathon runner who has trained their entire life. I am in love. If this was laptop was a good looking man, I would run away with it. All in all, it runs beautifully and I will one hundred percent be purchasing from this company again. My daughter is going to need a laptop soon, so...take my money. All in all, I'm incredibly surprised in the best way possible. HUGE thank you to this company. I'm so happy.

Buyer beware, do not purchase a computer from this company! The refurbished 2020 Mac laptop I bought is a complete LEMON, it barely works, everything is so SLOW. I stupidly thought it was my home Internet connection for a while and missed the return window. But after having several experts look at it, and multiple people try to help me, it turns out this is just a crummy computer that wasn't "refurbished" well, if at all. I have to clear the cache and the browsing history every time I open a browser just to wait like 10 minutes for one website to load. I've kept up with all the updates and still the computer can't run more than one program at a time and makes this horrible whirring noise whenever it's on.

A excellent value. I choose to buy refurbished, whenever available. This model performs beautifully, battery life excellent. Durable and practical. i’m excited to have the 13.3” screen size !

Very impressed with the laptop I received. I was hesitant due to other reviews. My MacBook is a 2020, specs all exactly as described, the battery life is fine. There is minimal scratching (barely noticeable - expected more honestly on a 5 year old device). It works great, very fast, came with a charger and was hand delivered via FedEx! Highly preferred for electronics so they’re not sitting in a mail room. I’ve used it daily for about a week now and haven’t had any issues. It needed to be charged and some software updates upon arrival but to be expected. Overall very happy with my purchase.

This refurbished MacBook has been a great purchase so far! It runs smoothly, boots up quickly, and handles everyday tasks like browsing, streaming, and work without any issues. The condition was better than expected with only minor signs of previous use. The battery life is solid, and it feels like a reliable, high-quality laptop at a much better price. A really good option if you want Apple performance without paying full retail!

UPDATE: It's probably been over a month since I wrote my initial review. After receiving my first MacBook that came with a hardware issue, I immediately reached out to the seller to see if they would replace it. They responded immediately and said they would send me a replacement, so after sending my faulty MacBook in, my replacement came in about a week. Since then, I have had no issues with my new one and I am excited to hopefully have this one for many years! Unfortunately, I am going to need to return the one I received as there is most likely a hardware issue. I am really disappointed because I was really excited for this MacBook! I need this for school and I was planning on using this for many years but I can't spend almost $400+ for it to come broken, I don't have that kind of money. The model I received came with Catalina OS and it had a few issues such as weird frame rate stuff in browser and no sound driver. Both of these issues were fixed when I upgraded to the most recent OS, Sequioa. However, since the night I received it, I have consistently gotten the error message "Your computer was restarted because of a problem" and the error code that it sends to Apple is always the same. There is a kernel panic that I have been told is a major hardware issue and I cannot afford to replace this if the hardware fails anytime soon! I will certainly update this when the issue is resolved, because I love everything about this laptop. The screen is bright and beautiful, the keys are a wonder to press and it's super easy to use (Lifelong Mac User here).

I was really hopeful about this because of the positive reviews, but I must have gotten a poor seller. Everything appeared in order but as I started login I was having trouble entering my Wi-Fi password. I reset the password still would not work so I used the accessibility options to open the keyboard screen. I could see that the shift key was stuck. When I pressed it, it made a loud click/pop. I didn’t think anything of it because my password worked and I was logged in. This is when things started to literally fall apart. When I attempted to enter email address I noticed it was stuck in CAPS but caps lock was off. I checked the accessibility keyboard again and sure enough, it was stuck in shift again but this time when I pressed it nothing happened…when I pressed it again the key fell off. As I attempted to slide the key back into position using the google instructions I found on my phone the surrounding keys also started to simply fall off. I tilted the keyboard and noticed that some of them looked lifted (kinda like when you play Guess Who)… I connected a Bluetooth keyboard to get myself through the reset process and immediately put everything back in it’s packaging for return. This was listed as Prime, Ships from: Amazon.com Sold by: Tech Pirate. Maybe you will have better luck with a different seller…

I’m giving three stars to meet in the middle. I ordered two (2020) MacBook Air laptops. Both arrived nicely packaged in my opinion for refurbished. They came with everything specified. The keyboard and mousepad are clean and seem to work well so far; though they are Christmas gifts so I won’t know for sure until we get set up. However, on one of them there is like a 2” line that shows up on the bottom right of the screen. It’s very noticeable at startup but not so much once the screen is on. There are some light dings on the sides but I plan to get them cases anyway so I can live with that seeing as they are refurbished, but I do not think the seller should mark these as being in “excellent condition”. And if this is indeed what they consider “excellent,” I recommend you do not buy anything below this grade on their selling page. The true test will be after a week or two of use from my kids once they’re set up. Fingers crossed…
