I’ve checked the size in the description W 20 cm and D 18.5 cm is that right or both side are 20 cm (the panel that attache to the wall)

If that is what the dimensions say I wouldn’t dispute them

Would it be possible to split this in half and put half in one corner and half in the other? 2 shelves each side. Or would I end up with raw edges?

You could do that, I guess put the raw edges out of sight. I’d recommend not to!
