Fabulous for RV life
We absolutely love our softener! I knew after a week of RV life and the water we were gonna need one. Thankful this is local to my state and proud to support a small business! It works beautifully, my only downside is that i should of gotten the larger size since we RV full time. Thank you for a wonderful product!

Great softener
We winter in Southern Arizona in a 41 ft. 5th wheel. The water is super hard and my hair became super dry. My shower doors became white and scaley with hard water deposits. Not any more!! My hair is so soft and no more spots! We have to recharge this every two and a half weeks. It is great because it only takes a box of table salt. Very easy to install and keep up. We have a filter installed before the softener and a pressure valve as well.

Perfect for Apartments and Skin Problems
I had another version of a water softener for my shower, was suppose to be good for 10 years. After 6 years, it finally said enough. Would have had to spend the same amount that I did for this one on that, only to have to throw it away again after 6 years. This On The Go Softener is a perfect size for my apartment shower. Yes, it does take up some real estate in my tub, but for the benefits that it gives me, I'm willing to work with it. Emailing the company bought an immediate response to my question on how to hook it up to my shower. It has done wonders for my eczema, to the point I don't have to slather myself with prescription creams anymore. Add to that, the plus that I can transfer it to a camper (when I get one) and always have it with me, plus being able to change out the resin beads if it is ever needed, will make me come back to this company again.

Perfect for vanlife!!
Had the larger one with our Class A RV. I was a little worried that this would be too big for our Class B, but it is perfect. We have a Coachmen Galleria 24A Li and it fit perfectly behind the Lithium Battery and garage door.

It works better than I expected
I'm camped in an Idaho State Park with the world's worst water. It's so hard, I'm sure it's bulletproof. There is so much iron in the water that it runs about 2 shades lighter than apple juice. It was staining my sinks, shower and toilet and on top of that, it smells awful. My two-stage water filters did nothing for me. At the recommendation of the camp host, I bought this water softener and added it as the last stage before my water inlet. What a huge difference. There are no odors, the water has no taste and it is as clear as bottled water. It was shipped in a rather flimsy box with very minimal packing. It looked it got bounced around a bit by UPS, so expected it to be damaged. I photographed it before opening the box and to my surprise, it was intact with no obvious damage. The O-ring that seals the cap to the bottle was not properly seated, so it sprayed water everywhere when I connected it to the system. I was able to re-seat the O-ring and connect it to my system without any further issue.

I took this water softener to prevent hair problems caused by hard water. The product is very solid, quite heavy and definitely not too elegant. But is doing the job very well. You get a soft & drinkable water from the first usage. Also you can test the water all the time with the included test kit. You can use it outside for RV but it works well for your apartment. You can use it for your shower but you need to make one or two trips to a Home Depot. You need to buy two standard adaptors : 3/4 female hose -> 1/2 FIP 3/4 male hose -> 1/2 MIP I would recommend a longer hose cause will give more freedom to user your shower head. During transportation of the caps has been stuck but with the help of customer service I succeed to go over.

I researched like crazy to find a water softener that didn’t need a filter changed every 6 months (or however often). A softener that was actually softening the water through ion exchange (not just a carbon filter... most shower heads claim they can “filter” water and while it may work for a bit there’s not enough time for proper ion exchange of Ca+ and Mg+ to be removed). This one works. I’m confused as to why this company doesn’t market to apartment or condo owners and only to RV owners as it would make sense to market to both seeing as it works. I’ve used the softener for about a week now and my skin and hair (curly, Type 3C-4A) can already feel a difference. My hair and skin deteriorating because of the hard water in my apartment is the main reason I bought this. Now... this is not a pretty thing to look at by all means.. it’s an eyesore but it works! And that’s all I’m concerned about! The regeneration process seems pretty straight forward (just regular table salt-CHEAP, easy to find and simple). Customer service wasn’t so great. Because this softener is meant for RVs the connection pieces (plastic) although fine, are NOT the pieces needed to connect to a shower head. I had a friend weld the pieces I needed together to make this fit on my shower head but these pieces are very easily found at any home hardware store. If connecting to a shower you’ll need pieces that connect from a hose to a standard pipe. May be easier to see what you need once the softener is delivered and you can match the fittings you need accordingly. When I called customer service they didn’t seem to interested to be on the phone and weren’t exactly helpful in find the pieces that I needed. But I got what I needed anyway. I recommend this softener if you have hard water, your skin is itchy/irritated, your hair is crying for some love and your shower head is looking gross from hard water buildup. Keep in mind that the softener is only connected to my shower head and therefore if I take a bath, the faucet for the bath is not connected. I could just leave the shower hose running into the bathtub if I really wanted soft water for my bath. Hope this helps :)

AWESOME. wow I love this water softener. We have very hard water and for optimal use we change the salt every 3 weeks. This takes about 20 minutes and back to wonderful soft water.
