The flow restrictor overall did an exceptional job of controlling our shower head from the high city pressure we get in our house. After removing the original restrictor that came with the shower head (due to CA’s extreme water restriction), the water pressure coming out was too strong for our use. That’s when this flow restrictor comes in to use.While the flow restrictor did most of its job as described, I ended up returning it due to some notable issues that I came across with it.1. There’s a bit of a chemical odor that comes out of the water after installing these, especially when using either warm or hot water.2. There’s a bit of a high pitch noise that the flow restrictor emits, which annoys some people in our household especially when dealing with high water pressure from our city line.3. Lastly, upon removing the flow restrictor from the shower head, the plastic had discolored from the heat of the water after using it for a few months even with the water softener and a whole house filter installed. It’s a minor issue for my case, but some may find it concerning.Overall, while this flow restrictor may come handy for some people, I would recommend that you go for an alternative brand such as Neoperl, which I ended up installing with minimal issues and has better build quality than this one.

The original restrictor was okay but I wanted more water volume and pressure. I got these and they had the right size, but they make the shower head very loud. It must have something to do with the metal shim in the center of the restrictors. I put the old/original restrictor back in and it was quite again.

These did the trick. I had upgraded shower heads but misplaced flow restrictors they came with. I installed a Moen Flo valve that detects leaks, excessive water use, and turns water lines off on its own to prevent flooding. Flo advised of excessive water use and shut off water in the middle of showers. This took care of the problem.

Perfect for what I was looking for. I had purchased a showerhead but I noticed that my hot water would go through it within 5 to 10 minutes. Add to flow restrictor and now we can at least get to 30/40 minutes of hot water!!

Been using for a few months. Nothing to write home about but it serves its purpose.
