Charles Rennie Mackintosh

I love this book. Just having it on my shelf or coffee table is beautiful but it’s so comprehensive.

Most of us depend on the work of researchers to provide understanding into the lives of people like Mackintosh. I'm more than happy with this book. Informative and personal at the same time. Like a non fiction love story. I'm content with my selection.

These are beautifully printed cards on high quality paper stock. The ink does not run on this paper. I am looking forward to purchasing more of them.

I thought I was ordering a book!No where in the description do I see that this item was a nice box of greeting cards.I was so surprised when I got my package, now I am confused as to know what to do!

This book presents an excellent array of articles on Scotland's greatest architect. These provide the reader with the context in which Mackintosh worked, the influences that helped shape him, the uniqueness of his own contributions to both architecture and interior design, his career as an artist, and a fascinating essay on the evolution of his image as he passed from anonymity to stardom following his death in 1928. I find that books such as this one, an exhibition catalogue, provide some of the most nuanced and comprehensive portraits of major architects. Other examples that are particularly good addressed the careers of Louis Kahn and Eero Saarinen.
