This last Thanksgiving, I made a mess trying to get my turkey out of the pan. When I saw this item, I decided to try it out in hopes that it would solve this yearly problem. I haven't actually cooked a turkey yet so I'm not 100% sure how it will work for that, however, I regularly buy the roast chickens at the supermarket and thought this might work well for helping to quickly shred the meat from the bones. I always like to pull off the meat while the chicken is still hot so we don't need to reheat it before eating it, however, it was always tedious using a knife and fork to remove the meat so I didn't burn my fingers. Now, I can hold the meat with one claw and then use the other to pull off the meat. It does a good job but I do occasionally get some bones pulled off and still have to pull them out of the meat. I also have to do the drumsticks by hand as the claw doesn't get all the bits of meat from them and I really love the dark meat. All in all, these are very useful to have and definitely save time.I received a discount for this product in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion. I bought these for my husband, and he LOVES them! He’s the cook in our family, and has been making a lot of crockpot meals that call for meat to be shredded before being served. He had been shredding the meat after cooking it by hand, and I could usually hear him in the kitchen exclaiming that it was still hot. He tried these for the first time this weekend, and he was pleasantly surprised with how well they worked! It kept his fingers from getting burned (he’s a little too impatient to wait for it to cool down completely), and he liked that it kept his hands clean in the process of shredding.He was a little disappointed at first when he saw they were plastic (since I ordered them; he didn’t know what they were going to be like). However, once he used them, he decided it was good that they were plastic so that there wasn’t any heat transfer to his hands as well, the plastic is gentle on our nice wood cutting board. After using them, he decided it was good that they were plastic. For being plastic, they’re very sturdy and do a great job.Overall, he’s very happy with them and is super glad I got them! This works flawlessly! I took a baked chicken and had it shredded in no time. Excellent for shredding pork. It is super easy to use, with one meat claw you hold the meat and with the other you start clawing at the meat with an outward motion and the meat shreds and comes right out. The six prongs on each of the meat claws are extremely sharp so you will have no problem getting all the meat out. These claws are made of durable nylon plastic and it can withstand high heat up to 450F. Perfect for your barbeque area as well, you can pick up the meat from the grill with these. To clean, you just toss it in the dishwasher. Like I said earlier, the prongs are extremely sharp, so I suggest keeping them in the original box for storage purposes. If you do not do this beware of cutting yourself if you put them in the drawer without it, and definitely keep them out of children's reach. These meat claws are a must have for anyone who likes to cook shredded meat! They are perfect for shredding pork, beef, and chicken.We have recently added a meat smoker to our assortment of backyard gadgets and absolutely love making smoked, pulled pork. I do not, however, enjoy standing for long periods of time trying to get it all shredded. Previously, I had been using just two regular dinner forks. It gets the job done but it takes forever!With these, the job of shredding cooked meat has become much quicker and incredibly easier. They tear through the meat with little to no effort.The handles are comfortable in the hand and don't slip while I'm using them. I recently used them to shred chicken breasts that I had cooked in a slow cooker. I was done in no time at all. I also like to cook a lot of beef roasts for use in burritos and other dishes.
