Worth It
Well-worth it for a hand-crank blower. Nothing about it feels flimsy to me. Definitely beats using a leaf blower. If you're using this for a forge, I recommend drilling 1/4" holes in the tuyere every inch or so. Anything smaller might not give you enough airflow.

Overall good quality
Overall, it’s pretty good quality! Although the first time I touched him, one of the oil caps broke off immediately. Oops! But not a dealbreaker. And the volume of air is quite sufficient for running forge. overall, I am happy with the purchase and would not have a problem buying it again.

Get a Champion blower
This blower was not what I expected for the price. The paint flaked off when scratched with a finger nail and the aluminum used in casting the housing seemed chintzy and low quality. However these are superficial, its ultimate demise came about when I tested its blowing capacity when mounted. At top speed, the gears immediately started skipping. I opened the gearbox to find the depth of the cogs to be insufficient to allow strenuous use. If you're looking to do serious blacksmithing, get something that won't skip on you. I didn't expect the gears to be skipping out of the box but that's why I sent it back. Also, tightening the bolt on the handle with my smallest adjustable wrench proved too much for the crapping quality bolt, as the head twisted right off with little effort. Although, the low quality nuts and bolts I could deal with. That combined with skipping gears was laughable and forced me to seek refund. Stick with your cold blowing hair dryer and save for a champion forge blower to come into your world.

Does its job
i love this blower!! It works and I haven't had it break yet so that's good! It seems sturdy! It seems to have a lot of friction as it slows down quickly, it vibrates pretty bad and almost sounds like a fan blade is hitting something. But it works! Its a lot better then hyperventilating!

Very good for making kabobs
Great to use on a grill to get charcoal to perfect state for grilling kabobs.

Broke
Worked greatUpdate: my son bought this in May for his small blacksmith workshop he has used it about 5 times and one of the pins/gears (Don’t know what you want to call it) has already snapped. It has been well cared for and properly oiled/greased. Such a shame, he saved for a year to purchase this and now it’s dust in the wind. Worked great when it worked though.
