Will this allow me to mute my tv?

If your tv has a mute button on its remote you can map it to any button you want on the sidekick

If i have a fan or light that has an ir remote can i program them to turn on/off with this one?

Yes, as long as you have the remote that’ll trigger the ir button you want to program then it’ll work! I have mine programmed to my Holmes upright tower fan.

Will this work with a 3rd gen Apple TV remote?

Yes, it come with two parts. One for the older generation remotes and one for the newer (4th gen) remote. I would recommend. Super easy to program and use. Hope this helps.

Can you program the volume to control Sonos TV bar?

Yes it will pair to and tv that has a remote. They all work on inferred technology.
