The display is exceptional under direct sunlight and low light conditions. Tides are a must for boating and shore sports (fishing, surfing, and anything beach related).Digits are easy to read especially with the "home" option where the time and date are presented. This is my first digital watch and my new daily driver.The band is beyond comfortable, and the size looks at home on my 7 1/2 inch wrist without looking ridiculous. (Given the other options in the G-Shock line - who is Casio targeting with their 50+mm cases?) Casio needs to offer this display across their entire line.Extremely happy with this functional and practical purchase.

Have been using this for over a year now. I have had no problems with it. I love the big numbers on the face.

Beautiful and functional watch.

Just unboxed it today. This is my first g shock in 15 years. Normally, I dont do digitals, but this is kinda like a semi smartwatch. Does notifications with vibration feature, which is great. To me,, it has an ideal feel. Has enough weight to let you know its got some hardare, but at the same time feels light on wrist. Strap is soft and flexible. Just feels comfortable. Except, you cant just hit a button to read messages. You have to go to notification screen, then select from there. Super easy readability, unlike many of casio inverted screens. You can even see in low light. Its luminescence is great. And has auto on feature. Since it has a MIP screen, more information can be displayed. Very intricate digital detailing. If you are hard of vision, you may have some issues. You can set up most of the setting through the app. It gets its time from the app to. It is not atomic receptor, but it is exact to the second through the phone bluetooth sync. I checked it with atomic time and it is on point. It is not solar. Bummer, but not a deal breaker. Takes a CR2032 battery. Which, is a thick coin. Handbook claims it will last 2 years on a battery, which is amazing given the Bluetooth and vibe feature. My biggest issue with this watch is the tide/surfer function. Really, how many people surf? Enough to boom sales on this model? Doubt it. But, has some good functions as well. If you fish, the tide graph could be useful. Has sunrise to sunset times. Its fitness functions are more sophisticated than most gshocks. Has built in accelerometer that is pretty accurate. Does step tracking by day in a weekly chart and monthly chart. All of this is integrated into the watch and app. Has goal achiement notices. For $160 totally worth it. And in my opinion, the best casio for the money. This watch changed my perception on the square faces.

Casio G-shock = reliable and dependable. This watch is no different. It’s my daily watch. Does go with everything? No but I don’t care because it does what I want. Love the display, readability, Bluetooth connection to my phone but don’t use notifications. It’s perfect.

I am NOT reviewing this watch as a smart watch. I do not use it to count steps nor do I use it to receive messages from phone, so I am not evaluating these smart features. I use it for the tide function and regular chronological function (what time it is, stopwatch, etc). It's super easy to add in tide locations from the app via iphone. I do not keep my watch synced to my phone. You can definitely just load the tide locations and then turn off bluetooth. I have not had to reset the tide function since I got this watch about 2 months ago. This watch is very comfortable to wear even when very sweaty if you are outside for a long time. The negative display is easy to read even in very bright sunlight.My ONLY complaint is that I wish the light stayed on slightly longer after you press it.

Poorly designed electronicly and cauld no get the Bluetooth connect to my galaxy s22 ultra and the internal is not great but very good looking but the strap is cheeply made and fragile and the function badly programed. This watch only have a good look. Am a big fan of G-shock watch as i own a few and this one is a pass, no thx! 👎
