Mr. Coffee Water Filter Replacement Disk, 2 Pack is a great product. It works very well. The filter does not shrink like other cheaper ones I bought. It sits in a holder right above the coffee grounds and does a great job filtering the water. The water tastes great and the filter also holds the coffee grounds down, so you do not have a mess with the coffee grounds.

I bought cheaper ones on Amazon, and they blocked the water from coming into the basket. These are the real thing, and they work perfectly each time. It's worth an extra few cents to get delicious, perfect coffee each time! I'm sticking to these.

Holds back residue of tap water

I had a Cuisinart coffeemaker with a fancier water filter, but the appliance broke within six months. (No, we don't brew THAT much coffee!) So, when I went to replace my coffeemaker, I went back to a BPA-free Mr. Coffee brewer; Mr. Coffee appliances seem to last forever. I like the water filter located on top where I can see it; I remember to change it in a timely manner. When I first bought the coffeemaker, I was able to find these filters at my local Target, grocery and hardware stores. Until now.I checked my usual stores for these filters, but none carries them any longer. When I called Mr.Coffee to find out what happened, all I got was "Mr.Coffee doesn't guarantee availability..." Um...no, I wouldn't expect that kind of guarantee, but I couldn't find out if Mr. Coffee is coming out with a new model, production has ceased on these filters, there is a recall on the filters, or why I was having a hard time finding them.Long story short, thanks Amazon, for coming through!

they do the job they are intended for

Chlorine removal is an added plus from my point of view. I love these filters because the remove the calcium.While my community's water is certified safe to drink, it is very hard. Prior to buying this model of Mr. Coffee, we used bottled water for our coffee and could taste the difference. With this filter, I have gone back to tap water.I get about three months to a filter by rinsing the filter under the tap using reverse flow, i.e. I run the water through from the bottom of the filter.As to availability, I buy at least three packs through Amazon. What could be easier?Filters are only half of the battle against sediment. I remove the bail and filter and run a full carafe of the cheapest white vinegar that I can find through the system. Then I run as many carafe's as necessary until there is no more sediment coming through the pot.

These are the perfect filter for my coffee maker.
